‘The Mighty Ducks’ Is Finally Coming to Disney+ This Summer! Quack, Quack! The Mighty Ducks will begin streaming on Disney+ starting July 3rd. Disney Fans have been eager to hear when the beloved underdog-hockey film would be available to stream and now we know the first “The Mighty Ducks” will be available to stream starting July 3rd!
The Mighty Ducks sequels will join the Disney+ roster in January 2021 after their streaming contract ends on HBO Max. Disney+ is also working on a Mighty Ducks series for the streaming service that will star Emilio Estevez (Coach Gordan Bombay), Lauren Graham (Alex), and Brady Noon (Evan). Also joining the cast are Swayam Bhatia, Taegen Burns, Julee Cerda, Bella Higginbotham, Luke Islam, Kiefer O’Reilly, Maxwell Simkins and De’Jon Watts.
“In present day Minnesota, the Mighty Ducks have evolved from scrappy underdogs to an ultra-competitive, powerhouse youth hockey team. After 12-year-old Evan (Noon) is unceremoniously cut from the Ducks, he and his mom Alex (Graham) set out to build their own ragtag team of misfits to challenge the cutthroat, win-at-all-costs culture of competitive youth sports. With the help of Gordon Bombay (Estevez), they discover the joys of playing just for the love of the game.”
