Missing Disney World Fastpasses and No Advanced Dining Reservations

Guests are reporting that their Disney World Fastpasses have gone missing and that they are unable to make Advanced Dining Reservations from the My Disney Experience app and the Disney World website for July.

These changes might mean that Disney World is planning on opening the theme parks without advanced dining reservations or fastpasses. Disney shared the news yesterday that they are moving over to a new theme park reservation system and with Disney World operating on limited attendance and shorter hours so there may not be any need for Fastpasses or ADRs.

Here is the official word from the news we shared yesterday.

This phased reopening will demonstrate a deliberate approach, with limits on attendance and controlled guest density that aligns with guidance on physical distancing. That means certain experiences we know draw large group gatherings – such as parades and nighttime spectaculars – will return at a later date. In addition, “high-touch” experiences such as makeover opportunities, playgrounds and character meet and greets will remain temporarily unavailable, but characters will still be in our parks to entertain and delight our guests. 

Because theme park capacity will be significantly limited as we welcome guests back to the magic, we will manage attendance through a new theme park reservation system that will require all guests to obtain a reservation for park entry in advance. At this time, we are temporarily pausing new ticket sales and Disney Resort hotel reservations so we can focus on guests with existing tickets and reservations (Disney Vacation Club members can still make new reservations). Existing ticket holders and Annual Passholders will be able to make reservation requests in phases before new tickets are sold; we’ll be reaching out to these guests soon to provide additional details. We will resume new ticket sales and hotel reservations after that period of time. Theme park reservations will be limited due to attendance limitations and will be subject to availability. More details about this new reservation system will be available soon.

This could possibly be a glitch with the Disney World website or a hint at the changes coming to the Disney World theme parks in the coming months…

The Daily Poutine has reopen at Disney Springs!

Get ready to indulge in this delicious dish from Canada full of cheesy, meaty, melty goodness! But of course with this reopening, new changes had to be put into place.

Some of them are signals on the floor to respect social distancing, credit card readers and contactless payment, plexiglass at the register, as well as, contactless utensil dispensers.

Besides that, the menu remains the same, so you will be able to find your favorite type of Poutine on your next visit to Disney Springs!

Changes are coming to Disneyland Reservations for guests with travel in mid-June.

Disneyland Resort Guests with resort hotel bookings during the week of June 14th – 20th, 2020, are receiving notifications that their stays will be impacted by our temporary closures, and they may modify or cancel their Disney Resort hotel reservations or Walt Disney Travel Company packages. Disney is asking Guests who didn’t book directly with Disney to call their Travel Professional.

Dear Guest,

We are sorry to inform you that your upcoming visit with us will be impacted by several closures.

While there is still much uncertainty with respect to the impacts of COVID-19, the safety and well-being of our Guests and employees remain The Walt Disney Company’s top priority.

As a result of this unprecedented pandemic and in line with direction provided by health experts and government officials, the Disneyland Resort is currently closed and a reopening date has not been identified.

If you have already modified or canceled your upcoming Disneyland Resort hotel room reservation or Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package, no further action needs to be taken. If you’re interested in modifying your existing travel dates or making a new reservation for a future vacation, reservations are currently available for travel dates July 1, 2020 and later.

To provide additional flexibility, we are waiving Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through June 30, 2020. If you are unable to reach us before your check-in date for such time period, you will not be penalized or assessed Disney-imposed fees for canceling your Disneyland Resort hotel room reservation or Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package after your check-in date.

Note that some package components are nonrefundable and subject to third-party operator cancellation policies. You should work directly with any third-party operators you have used to book any parts of your vacation package that were not booked through the Walt Disney Travel Company, including flights, travel protection and car rentals.

A Special Offer for Eligible Guests

Eligible Guests of the Disneyland Resort Hotels may receive a $50 per night resort credit* for stays between July 1, 2020 and December 31, 2020. In addition to the resort credit, eligible Guests may also take advantage of a special Disneyland Resort offer to save up to 35%** on stays most nights July 1, 2020 through October 3, 2020.

The resort offer is valid for Guests who booked a room reservation, or a Walt Disney Travel Company vacation package, to stay at a Disneyland Resort hotel during the period from March 16, 2020 through June 30, 2020 and on dates that the Disneyland Resort theme parks are closed. Offer is not valid for room reservations or packages canceled before March 1, 2020, or for multiple rebooks of the same room or package reservation.

Aerophile Characters in Flight reopens in Disney Springs

Look, up in the sky! It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s the Characters in Flight hot air balloon! The Disney Springs hot air balloon has officially reopened for guests.

Aerophile’s Characters in Flight is a landmark attraction located at the west side of Disney Springs. The tethered hot air balloon flight takes guests up to 400 ft in the air. Depending upon the weather, you can see up to 10 miles away with the stunning views provided by the flight above Disney Springs.

It’s an 8-minute long ride aboard a tethered hot air balloon. The ride is quite fun for guests looking to try a unique experience at Walt Disney World Resort. We enjoy the waterfront views and ambiance of the attraction. It’s an easy journey into the sky for guests of all ages to enjoy. The attraction is weather dependent, so it won’t operate if there’s strings winds and excessive rain storms.

Tickets can be purchased at the attraction location on a first-come, first-served basis. Pricing:

  • $20 for adults (ages 10 and older)
  • $15 for children (ages 3 to 9)

World of Disney in Disney Springs is now open, and we’re seeing even more goodies for the Disney Parks Summer collections! One that really caught our eye was this Clear Blue Mickey Loungefly Bag! This groovy bag is part of the Neon Summer Fun collection!

The neon collection has some serious 90s vibes, and the backpack is no exception! The main compartment of the bag is a clear vibrant blue! It is accented by neon yellow straps, and a faux leather front pocket. The front pocket is also adorned with Mickey’s iconic buttons, in a bright day glow yellow! This bag is something I totally would have worn in high school, I even had a pair of boots with the same clear blue style!
