Those heading to Disney Springs for lunch should consider visiting Wine Bar George. The restaurant recently added the new Fried Fish Sandwich to their weekday lunch menu. Wine Bar George is a true gem for guests at Disney Springs, and we love this new seasonal menu item!

The Fried Fish Sandwich is served on a brioche bun with pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, and gribiche sauce. It’s accompanied with a side of French fries and only available between 12:00-3:00 PM on weekdays.

The new seasonal menu item looks appetizing! The Fried Fish Sandwich with fries costs $16 plus tax. The sandwich is very satisfying for hungry guests.

Wine Bar George is an estate-style wine bar featuring wine and food masterfully paired by Master Sommelier George Miliotes. It has the distinguished honor of being the only Florida-based wine bar owned by a master sommelier. George Miliotes is one of the 140 wine professionals in the U.S. known as Master Sommelier, and he’s also an Orlando native. From exquisite wines to satisfying entrees, there’s a solid menu list of great options for patrons. Construction Sites at Disneyland Paris Resumed Activity Earlier This Week

Disneyland Paris is beginning their gradual reopening process on July 15, and have started working again on construction projects earlier this week! There are many construction sites in the works at Disneyland Paris- Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, future Land Avengers Campus, Cars Route 66 Road Trip, and Disney Junior Dream Factory.

“I am very pleased to welcome our Cast Members, the Imagineers and the contracting companies to relaunch the construction of new and exciting experiences that will entertain and delight our visitors in the years to come,” said Natacha Rafalski, President of Disneyland Paris.

According to a statement from Disneyland Paris, the health and safety of the construction workers will be the top priority while these construction sites are in progress. “The Imagineering Construction team has implemented reinforced precautionary measures, such as the wearing of a mask and a physical distance device which implement the regulations issued by the Ministry of the Interior, the recommendations health authorities and best practices in the sector.” (Disneyland Paris)

“We are delighted to be gradually taking over these projects and again being able to do what we are passionate about – creating the Disney magic that our visitors love so much,” said David Wilson, Site Executive Portfolio for Walt Disney Imagineering in Paris. “We thank the French authorities for the constructive dialogue we have established with them, as well as our partners and suppliers for their unshakable confidence. These have proven to be resilient and agile, which has allowed us to move forward in recent months on other aspects of these new attractions and experiences.”

Drive-In Theaters Coming To Walmart Parking Lots This Summer

Walmart is partnering with Tribeca Enterprises this summer to show classic movies- including Jaws, Space Jam, and many more- in Walmart store parking lots! Beginning in August, this retro theater experience will take over store’s parking lots and is scheduled to run through October with 320 movie showings. According to Comic Book, “Filmmakers and celebrities will also be on hand for select experiences.”

Jane Rosenthal, CEO and Co-Founder of Tribeca Enterprises and Tribeca Film Festival, described the idea behind the Walmart Drive-Ins: “Drive-Ins have been a signature program for Tribeca since we started the Tribeca 19 years ago after 9/11. But now, the Tribeca Drive-In is much more than a fun, retro way to see movies — it’s one of the safest ways for communities to gather.”

Walmart shared on Twitter about the exciting new Drive-in theaters: “Starting in August at select Walmart stores, we’re partnering with @Tribeca and rolling out the red carpet for drive-in movie premieres, complete with car-side [popcorn] and [drink] service. Stay tuned for more details. See you at the movies!”

Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World is welcoming back guests. The resort has the esteemed title of being Central Florida’s only Five Diamond Award rated resort. Four Seasons Resort reopened its doors on July 1, 2020. To help ensure the safety of their guests, the resort is implementing new guidelines.

“Within this new environment, our singular goal is to provide guests, residents and employees with the confidence and assurance that their health and safety is our first priority,” says John Davison, President and Chief Executive Officer, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.

The resort has implemented the new safety program, Lead With Care, to provide ongoing guidance during the pandemic.

High-touch surfaces throughout the resort, including guest rooms, are being treated on an “intensified cleaning and sanitizing schedule.”

“Along with already-commonplace measures such as more sanitizers, masks and heightened cleaning and hygiene, our Lead with Care program will enhance our tools and training to deliver an experience grounded in safety and trust,” says Christian Clerc, President, Global Operations, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts. “While the Four Seasons experience may look different in this new environment, it will ultimately feel the same – our dedicated people will continue to deliver the same intuitive service and personalized care for which Four Seasons is known and trusted the world over.”

Four Seasons Resort is welcoming back guests

Four Seasons Resort reportedly has a consulting agreement with Johns Hopkins Medicine International that will help them make health and safety decisions during the evolving COVID-19 pandemic.

The enhanced cleaning protocols include:

  • Each Four Seasons Resort property appointing a Hygiene Officer focused on implementing enhancements to already stringent procedures.
  • Rooms disinfected daily with EPA approved products and will have blacklight inspection by room attendants.
  • Focused re-training programs for Housekeeping teams on all cleaning protocols are being implemented across the portfolio.
  • Public areas cleaned hourly with extra attention to frequented areas including front desk counters and public restrooms.
  • The COVID-19 Advisory Board exploring options to equip properties with the latest tools and technology, including electrostatic spraying, ozone technology for air purification and/or UV technology for HVAC systems.

For guests:

  • Lead With Care kits placed in each guest room providing masks, hand sanitizer and sanitization wipes, with additional masks supplied on demand.
  • Social distancing measures embedded in all services for guest protection, including appropriately spaced fitness equipment, modified spa menu and services, contactless check-in and housekeeping services.
  • Restaurants and bars may operate with reduced capacity to ensure adequate space and socially distant set-up.
  • Nearly all restaurants providing a-la-carte service with digital menus wherever possible.
  • In Room Dining offering contactless delivery outside guestrooms along with sustainable, single-use packaging.
  • Four Seasons App and Chat providing guests with real-time, contactless interactions with employees from their own device on nine global platforms and in 100+ different languages.

The limited-edition Year of the Mouse monthly plush for July has been revealed! For July we can look forward to an enchanting Tiki Mickey Mouse Plush! This cutie will be available early for D23 Members on July 6 at 9:00 A.M. PST, and then also available in limited quantities on Amazon!

This is the seventh of twelve collectible large plush for the Year of the Mouse collection! He is beautifully made of twill and corduroy fabrics and features a Hawaiian theme with embroidered buttons and also embroidered eyes. Mickey features a commemorative gold and satin foot patch and includes a Certificate of Authenticity. He also comes in a window box featuring special Year of the Mouse packaging, which is perfect for displaying!

The inspiration for this plush comes from Walt Disney’s first visit to Hawaii in 1934. In honor of a promise made to a theater of local children Walt created the classic short “Hawaiian Holiday”. In the short Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Pluto, and Goofy all enjoy their own tropical vacation on a sunny Hawaiian beach. Complete with surfing antics and hula dancing of course!
