New paint job at Cinderella Castle is almost complete

New paint job at Cinderella Castle is almost complete Cinderella Castle

We previously reported on how Cinderella Castle is receiving a magical makeover this year. We saw Disney start work on the castle back in March, and it’s amazing how much the appearance has changed already. The great news is it looks like the magical makeover is almost complete!

The castle’s paintwork is the first sign of progress we’ve seen so far. The blue spires show the most noticeable paintwork so far. It went from a baby clue to a vibrant royal blue color. This bold color choice gives a vibrant appearance to the top of the castle. Also, the inner curtain, which is what we call the interior section of Cinderella Castle, is getting a rose gold paint treatment. It’s a subtle color choice, but it definitely adds a pop of color to a traditionally grey castle.

New paint job at Cinderella Castle is almost complete

The last time we saw Cinderella Castle up close was in March. But now other Disney fans have observed signs that the magical makeover is still being worked on at Magic Kingdom. We can see that the crew has advanced in painting and that we’re getting closer to seeing the finished product!
What do you think of the new blue and pink paint on Cinderella Castle? It’ll be exciting to see the finished product once the magical makeover is complete.

Given the current situation, there are some resort hotels and other areas that are not, as of this time, being scheduled for reopening yet. We will continue to evaluate the situation and reopen more locations when the environment is right to do so.

While these plans may evolve, Disney will be monitoring the constantly changing health environment and its impact on the state of Florida as we find the right time to welcome back even more of our Guests and Cast Members.

Last month we shared news about the first Disney World Resorts opening starting this week. You can check them out here.

PhotoPass Changes Coming When Disney World Reopens Photopass

Capture your magical moments with Disney’s PhotoPass service!

We are two weeks away of the reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort on July 11th! And while these are very exciting news, there are some changes that need to be make in order to have a magical and safe experience for everyone.

PhotoPass Changes Coming When Disney World Reopens

That’s why Disney’s PhotoPass service will have some temporary adjustments:

  • Handling guest’s personal devices: Photographers will not handle any personal devices like cellphones or cameras.
  • Photo prop usage: Photo pros will be throughly cleaned between guests. For selected props, the photographer may request that you stand next to or behind the program without making contact with it. They will capture these photos with the best angles and perspective in mind.
  • Photo linking: Before taking pictures, make sure to have your MagicBand or card ready so the photographer can scan the code and link your photos to your account. This will be made maintaining social distancing during the process.

These adjustments will help to promote physical distancing and reduce contact while still capturing all your vacation memories!

First Foal Born at Disney’s Tri-Circle D Ranch!

The stork has landed as Disney celebrates its first foal born at Disney’s Tri-Circle D Ranch! Located at Disney’s Fort Wilderness in Walt Disney World. Disney has welcomed its newest addition, ‘Violet’ their newborn filly. Disney has announced that the beautiful Violet is settling in well with the “happiest horses on earth”!

First Foal Born at Disney’s Tri-Circle D Ranch!

Violet the first born foal at Disney’s Tri- circle d ranch, was born to the lovely mare Elsa, Violet is happy running around her enclosure and having a great time with her human caretakers. She even received a visit from Jeff Vahle (Walt Disney World President) two days ago- check out his post below!

Jeff Vahle visited the new horse barn prior to its planned opening to the public as well as greeting the beautiful new foal! A ceremony was held to transport the Dragon Calliope, a horse-drawn musical instrument originally purchased by Walt Disney, to its new home at the ranch’s museum. The move marked the final touch to complete the new facility in preparation for its June 2020 opening.

Tri-Circle-D Ranch is home to all of the Disney horses, including Cinderella’s carriage team. Alongside a host of many other breeds trained for a number of Disney job roles such as trail rides or sleigh driving.

Disney’s Fort Wildnerness Resort & Campground is scheduled to reopen on June 22, 2020. Plan your trip, and you might get a glimpse of sweet Violet.
