Disney World Annual Passes Being Extended

Disney World Annual Passes Being Extended ap

Disney World annual passholders are starting to see that their expiration dates have been extended.

When the parks closed Disney said that “all active Walt Disney World Resort theme park and water park Annual Passes will be extended for the number of days the parks are closed. The new expiration date will be reflected on the Annual Passholder’s account prior to the reopening of the parks.”

Passholders are seeing an approximate 4-month extension to their annual pass. Even though the Disney World parks will begin reopening July 11, there’s no guarantee annual passholders will be able to get in.

Disney has said, “During the limited capacity period, it may be difficult for Annual Passholders to get park reservations to visit on certain dates. To help manage capacity, total reservation days held at one time will be limited.”

Passholders will get more days to use their passes but may have a difficult time getting park reservations.

Are you an annual passholder and has your expiration date been extended?

Universal Cinemark reopening on July 3rd

Universal Cinemark reopening on July 3rd Universal Cinemark

Good news for cinephiles visiting Universal Orlando Resort! The Universal Cinemark at CityWalk reopens to the public on July 3rd. The movie theater has been closed since mid-March due to the coronavirus pandemic, but now it’s returning with new health and safety protocols for guests.

For starters, the movie theater is implementing reduced auditorium capacities and staggered showtimes to help protect guests in accordance with state guidelines. When you purchase movie tickets, the Universal Cinemark will now automatically block the seats adjacent to your party. In addition, they are staggering showtimes to allow more time for guests to exit and prevent overcrowding in our restrooms, halls and lobbies. Wearing a face mask inside the movie theater is currently optional unless state or federal guidelines change in the future. The theater also encourages visitors to purchase their tickets online to help advocate contactless ticketing.

The Cinemark employees are now wearing mandatory personal protective gear such as face masks and gloves. With wellness check-ins and new training for employees, the staff is prepared to help usher in the phased reopening of movie theaters. The staff is also taking extra steps to keep the concession stands and food service areas sanitized.

Lastly, the Universal Cinemark will be offering a selection of “Comeback Classics” to watch in theaters when the movie theater reopens at CityWalk. Click here for more information on what movies will be showing.

Homecomin’ Reopens At Disney Springs With A Brand New Outdoor Patio

Homecomin’ Reopens At Disney Springs With A Brand New Outdoor Patio

Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ restaurant located at Disney Springs reopened today after being closed since March. Chef Art Smith was there today and we saw him visiting some tables and welcoming guests back home. Disney Springs has slowly been reopening little by little for the past couple of weeks and Homecomin’ Florida Kitchen is back in business.

Homecomin’ Reopens At Disney Springs With A Brand New Outdoor Patio

Like all of the places that have reopened since March and the COVID shutdown there are new social distancing precautions at Homecomin’. I liked their sign for it, it was pretty clever. They also have their own face masks and you can purchase one at the front gift shop.

Homecomin’ restaurant also has new contactless menus. As you are called in by the hostess you are given a piece of paper to scan with a QR code and a menu is downloaded onto your phone. They still had kids menus available since those are single-use already.

Also new at Homecomin’ today is their updated outdoor patio. They used to have outdoor seating with umbrellas and chairs but now they have a nice new patio. It was really nice for guests that wanted to sit outside and not have to worry if it would start raining. They did a great job the patio looks really nice.
