Social Distancing Measures In Place On The Jungle Cruise jungle cruise

It’s time to head off to adventure aboard the Jungle Cruise!!

The comedic boat tour is back at Magic Kingdom Park today! But of course in order to keep everyone safe, there are some healthy measures that must be followed.

The first thing you will see when you get to the Jungle Cruise will be social distancing signs on the floor leading up to the attraction entrance. These signs continue once you are making the queue inside as well.

Once you are able to board your boat, you will notice some changes, like signs on the seats saying “for your safety, not allowed” to make sure each party is seated apart. You will also see some plastic dividers were also installed for extra safety.

You must also wear a face mask at all times. The only times when you are allowed to not wear it is if you are eating or inside one of the relaxation zones.

Peoplemover in the Magic Kingdom still not Running

Peoplemover in the Magic Kingdom still not Running people mover

The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World has reopened to all guests today. Even though the park is open, not all rides and attractions are running. One of those attractions is the Peoplemover in Tomorrowland.

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority Peoplemover gives guests a 10-minute tour of Tomorrowland. It’s a great ride for guests to cool off on.

During the narrated tour, go behind the scenes of attractions like Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, Space Mountain, and Star Traders retail shop. See architectural models of Progress City, the prototype for Epcot.

We hope this classic attraction reopens soon!

Disney World Updates Policy on Face Coverings

Disney World Updates Policy on Face Coverings face coverings

We recently reported that Disney World was restricting the use of neck gaiters at the parks. Disney has now updated its policy regarding face coverings.

Face masks are still required for all Guests (ages 2 and up) and Cast Members. You will need to bring your own face coverings and wear them at all times, except when dining or swimming.

All face masks (whether disposable or reusable) must:

  • Be made with at least two layers of breathable material
  • Fully cover the nose and mouth and secure under the chin
  • Fit snugly but comfortably against the side of the face
  • Be secured with ties or ear loops and allow the Guest to remain hands-free

The new addition to this policy states:

At this time, based on guidance from health authorities, neck gaiters and open-chin triangle bandanas are not acceptable face coverings.

Gaiters and bandanas will not be allowed to be worn as face masks at Disney World.

Disney World Updates Policy on Face Coverings

You can see this and Disney’s other reopening guidelines on the “Know Before You Go” page of Disney World’s website.

New location to have a Disney Character Meal at Walt Disney World

New location to have a Disney Character Meal at Walt Disney World Character meal

Those who wish to find a character meal experience at Disney World now have a new option to check out. The Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort’s popular Good Morning Breakfast with Goofy & Pals is back! The special character dining experience is open for guests and taking reservations again.

The meal is offered on Saturdays only at Ravello. Guest reservations are required and available between 7:00 am and 11 a.m. each Saturday. However, we do advise checking with the resort for updates in procedures even before you get to the restaurant. Overhead temperature screening at the resort entrance is just one new addition for safety.

“All of our restaurants are doing limited-capacity seating that maintains social distancing recommendations,” says Dana Berry, director of public relations for Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort. “Reservations are required because the event is filling more quickly than before.”

“I think our character breakfast is a lot of fun for all ages. They’re so expressive and entertaining and the food at Ravello is delicious — no frozen waffles, everything is made fresh,” said Berry.

“Return guests will find breakfast favorites on the new prix fixe menu,” she added. “From the old-fashioned Belgian waffle to the egg white frittata — my favorite is the cooked-to-order omelet.”

We hope you enjoy this character meal with Goofy and friends! At the time, guests will be required to wear a mask upon entry due to the Orange County ordinance. Pricing is $48 per adult, $28 per child 12 and younger. Valet parking is complimentary and staff will validate inside. For reservations, contact the resort directly at 407-313-7777.

Splash Mountain Music removed from Spotify

Splash Mountain Music removed from Spotify Splash Mountain

It’s only been a few weeks since Disney announced how the Splash Mountain attraction will receive a new theme dedicated to Princess & The Frog. We know the attraction will be eventually closing for its redesign, but no official closing date has been given yet. However, Disney fans did discover one new development. The recognizable medley music of Splash Mountain is no longer available on Spotify.

Splash Mountain Music removed from Spotify

We searched on Spotify to confirm. The Splash Mountain ride medley has been removed from the Walt Disney World Official Album. Seeing the removal of the attraction’s music has some speculating if Disney will completely abandon all future usage of the familiar tunes. Until then, we can still find the Splash Mountain ride medley music on platforms such as YouTube.

With the removal of the ride’s medley music, and Splash Mountain’s merchandise being pulled from shopDisney, it looks as if we’re witnessing small steps being taken towards the gradual end of the Song of the South attraction. In the meantime, Disney theme park guests can still enjoy the ride at Magic Kingdom and Disneyland.

Lastly, we look forward to seeing the new Princess and the Frog attraction once the attraction has been redesigned. We loved the soundtrack of that movie!
