disney world

As part of Disney’s plans for a phased reopening of Walt Disney World Resort, select Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts and Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground will begin to reopen to Guests on June 22, 2020.

Guests may be receiving email communication from Disney if they have a Resort hotel booking between June 22, 2020, and July 4, 2020. Guests will need to confirm, modify, or cancel their reservations by June 12, 2020.

For guests wishing to confirm their reservations:

  • Contact the Disney Reservation Center to notify Disney of Guest’s confirmation.
  • As needed, guests will be moved from closed to open resorts during this time. This move will be at no additional cost to guests. Note that they won’t have an option to modify to another resort of their choosing for this reservation.
  • As previously communicated, for Guests who had a dining plan, Disney will be modifying their package to remove the dining plan.
  • If guests staying in Disney resorts before park opening on July 11, 2020, want to keep their reservation, they will be downgraded out of the ticket package and the package price will be reduced. Alternately, they can move their reservation to new dates, or cancel.

For Guests wishing to modify their reservations to a future date in 2020:

  • Contact the Disney Reservation Center to modify the booking to a later date in 2020.
  • If guests would like to modify to a date on or after July 11, 2020, they may only modify to one of the announced opened resorts, based on availability. Guests will be responsible for any higher rates.
  • Travel protection may be moved to a new reservation in 2020. The Guest will be responsible for any difference in price.

For Guests wishing to cancel their reservations:

  • Contact the Disney Reservation Center to notify Disney of the cancellation.

Below is a sample email being sent to guests:

Amorette’s Patisserie in Disney Springs Reopens with New Safety Measures

Amorette’s Patisserie

No trip to Disney Springs is complete without yummy Disney treats. For some of the best desserts around, there is no better option than Amorette’s Patisserie. However, due to the coronavirus closures, we have been deprived of our favorites baked goods for several weeks. But at last, as of Friday the 5th of June, they have reopened to the public!

Since suspending operations on March 17th, Disney Springs in Walt Disney World began a phased re-opening on May 20 of this year. Select stores and restaurants have been accessible since then, but notable others have remained closed. Amorette’s, on the Marketplace side of the Springs, is now welcoming back customers. They’ve implemented new safety measures for the health of their guests, starting with a masked employee to open entry and exit doors, reducing the need for people to touch handles. If germs on hands are still a concern, hand sanitizing stations are located in front of the entryway.

Upon entering, guests will notice social distancing markers on the floor where they are to line up and order. All employees are masked and gloved, and a partition adds an extra protective layer between Cast Members and customers at pay stations. Aside from that, Amorette’s remains largely the same, offering the same delicious treats we love.

Have you been to Amorette’s Patisserie since reopening? What beautiful dessert(s) will you be ordering first?
