Your Phone Could Be a Game-Changer at This Year’s EPCOT Food and Wine Festival With This HUGE Update

Our tastebuds were doing cartwheels last night when Disney World FINALLY released the full lineup of Taste of EPCOT Internation Food and Wine booths and menus!

Epcot Food and Wine Festival

And now, Disney has added a new Taste of Epcot digital guide feature to the My Disney Experience app!

With Taste of Epcot starting in just a few days (it opens the same day of EPCOT’s grand reopening on July 15th and will run all the way through the FALL!), we were up all night studying the menus of the 20 returning marketplace festival booths! And now, Disney World has made our research and planning even easier by launching this new Food and Wine digital feature!

Under normal circumstances, EPCOT offers guests a printed booklet of their Food and Wine festival food, entertainment, and shopping location information. While we don’t know if this new digital Food and Wine guide will be replacing physical copies of the guides or not, we’ll be sure to let you know if paper copies are still available once the big day arrives!

For now, you can use the My Disney Experience app to explore all of this year’s offerings! We also love how they’ve used characters from Ratatouille as a nod to Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure — which last we heard, is still on for its 2020 summer debut!

We can’t wait to explore the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival next week. Not only will it be the longest Epcot festival to date, but Disney has also shared it will be a sort of hybrid Food and Wine Festival with elements of Flower and Garden Festival mixed in! Check out some of the Flower and Garden merchandise we’ll be expecting to see when Epcot reopens next week here!

See the FULL Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Menus here!!

Are you excited about this new feature on the My Disney Experience app? Let us know if you’ll be checking it out in the comments below!

Here’s How Disney World Is Handling Pin Trading in the Parks

Disney World has implemented lots of new precautions to keep guests and Cast Members safe now that the parks are reopening. One of the biggest changes has to do with physical distancing. All parties are asked to maintain six feet of space between themselves and other guests at all times.

Here’s How Disney World Is Handling Pin Trading in the Parks

Characters Greeting

If you’re a pin collector, you might think this new safety regulation would make pin trading a thing of the past at Disney World. But we’re here to tell ya — that’s not the case! In fact, we’ve seen pin trading happening at a few places INSIDE the theme parks recently between guests and Cast Members!

Before the closures, pin trading typically involved Cast Members wearing lanyards or pouches covered in pins that were available for trade. Some retail locations, front desks of resorts, and Guest Relations locations also had pinboards or books for guests to look through. Guests would pick out which pin they wanted, and then trade one of their pins in exchange.

Here’s How Disney World Is Handling Pin Trading in the Parks

Pin Trading Board

We stopped by Guest Relations at Magic Kingdom to ask if there was any new info regarding pin trading. Previously, we’d heard from Cast Members when Pin Traders reopened in Disney Springs that there would most likely be some form of pin trading taking place, but that it would be modified from previous experiences.

Guest Relations

The Guest Relations Cast Members informed us they didn’t have any pins for trading just yet, but they did have plenty of free celebration buttons to choose from.

But, as we were exploring some of the gift shops at Magic Kingdom, we spotted a real live pinboard at Fantasy Faire’s cash register! Guests can still pick out which pin they’d like to trade, and the Cast Member will remove it from the board and give it to you! You’ll drop the pin you’re trading into a container and they’ll clean it before placing it on the board.

Today at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, our friend Instagram user @MichaelDoesDisney spotted a new sign clearly detailing step by step the pin-trading experience we had yesterday at Fantasy Faire.

And yesterday, one of our team members who was in Disney’s Animal Kingdom spotted a whole pin trading experience next to Primeval Whirl in Dino Land, U.S.A.!

This was the largest board we’ve since the closures and the Cast Members asked us to help spread the word!

We also swung by Animal Kingdom’s Pin Station to see if they had begun pin trading yet. For now, the Cast Member told us they’re still working on a plan so we’ll continue to monitor them and let you know when it returns!

In fact, we’ll keep updating this post and let you know about any additional pin trading locations we can find, but for now, you can get the scoop on Disney World’s 2020 pin trading event which will be happening online!

Here’s When the Friendship Boats Will Sail Again at Walt Disney World!

Walt Disney World has PLENTY of transportation options, from buses to the monorail to the Skyliner and everything in between!

Here’s When the Friendship Boats Will Sail Again at Walt Disney World!

Disney Skyliner

But when Walt Disney World officially reopens Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom on July 11th and Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th, not EVERY type of vehicle will be available.

For instance, the monorail will NOT be traveling to Epcot upon reopening. And the Friendship Boats between Epcot and Hollywood Studios won’t be operating, either.

Here’s When the Friendship Boats Will Sail Again at Walt Disney World!

Friendship Boat

However, we know know when the Friendship Boats will sail again! According to Disney World’s website, they’re set to launch from the Boardwalk Villas to Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot on July 29th!

We love traveling down the waterways between Disney’s Boardwalk and the theme parks, so we can’t WAIT to ride these boats once they reopen. And when we do ride, you know we’ll fill you in on all of the Friendship Boats’ health and safety measures, so stay tuned!

See how Disney World transportation looks during Annual Passholder previews here!

What’s your favorite mode of transportation at Walt Disney World? Let us know!

We’ve FINALLY gotten menus for the 20 signature marketplaces that will be spaced out around the theme park, but we know that no festival is complete without merchandise!

The sweet and spunky Florida mascot will be back with headwear, clothing, and drinkware at Epcot. We’re also absolutely buzzing about the return of the Spike’s Sweet as can Bee Collection. This buzzy little bee has long been around at Flower & Garden for the fest, and he got his own line this year with his nemesis Donald Duck, which featured his likeness on Tervis Tumblers, ornaments, bags, accessories, and more.
