Lately, they’ve extended some great savings for Disney World Annual Passholders while only moments ago they added a special promo to their website for Florida residents!

But did you know that they also have a Nurse Appreciation Rate?! To book this special discount, you can call 1-888-828-8850 or go online and enter the promo code Y7N when prompted. You will need to show your valid nurse ID at check-in to receive this offer.

And medical workers aren’t the only group of folks Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort is thanking for their service with a special offer. Teachers and School Support Staff are also being given their own exclusive discount which includes a savings of up to 25% off regular rates! You’ll want to book this deal using the promo code ZTC when promoted and be ready to show your school-issued ID when you check-in!

Both offers are valid seven days a week through October 6th, 2020, but only a limited number of rooms will be available. Tax is additional and other terms and conditions may apply such as blackout dates, plus neither offer can be combined with other promotions. Rates cannot be applied for groups of 10 or more rooms.

It certainly is a beautiful day to take a stroll around Disney Springs.

Marketplace Starbucks

Our first stop is the Marketplace Starbucks — after all, all good days start with coffee. This location has three Christmas in July specials.

There’s the Melted Snowman (Olaf would NOT like this frap), the Candy Cane, and the Snowball.

Rainforest Cafe 

Rainforest Cafe has been open since this past weekend but this is the first time we’ve been by to see them open for business!

We didn’t sit down for lunch this time, but we did notice some signage and a hand sanitizer station at the entrance.

Nothin’ like a nice rain shower while you’re chowin’ down!

Coca Cola Rooftop Bar 

At the Coca Cola Rooftop Bar, we checked in on the drink of the month — the Simply Razzle Dazzle.

We also noted that they are still selling refillable bottle but they aren’t actually refilling them for the time being.

Gideon’s Bakehouse 

One of our MOST anticipated spots has seen some progress. We got to see the Gideon’s Bakehouse construction barriers up in person for the first time!

This spot is coming this year to serve up some delicious cookies.

lululemon

lululemon officially got some signage! Still no sign of an opening date on this spot, but it’s nice to see that we’re one step closer.

Splitsville Luxury Lanes

There’s some minor construction on the pathways in front of Splitsville Luxury Lanes that seems to be all wrapped up. The pavement looks nice, don’t you think?

M&M Store

And, of course, we swung by the M&M Store to see what progress is looking like.

It’s pretty easy to spot some BIG differences over the barrier. The whole WALL is missing!

EPCOT is gearing up for its grand reopening celebration tomorrow — which will also be the official start date of the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival.

And while we’ve been exploring the park during a special Cast Member preview this week, EPCOT’s World Showcase has felt a little different. Each pavilion is normally staffed by cultural representatives from each of the represented countries, but for now, it could be a long time before all of the cultural ambassadors can return to Disney World.

Back when the parks first extended their temporary closure dates, Disney World canceled all of its future college and cultural programs for candidates who were “due to arrive through early June.” Recently we learned college programs would not likely resume anytime soon. And now it appears some of Disney World’s cultural ambassadors are also receiving notification that their programs are being canceled through the end of the year.

We were contacted by several cultural representatives who told us they’d received word from Disney that their programs have been canceled. Even candidates who’d received offers had their offers withdrawn.

Since Disney World’s cultural ambassadors comprise a large portion of the workforce at EPCOT’s World Showcase, returning Cast Members will most-likely be filling in for them until they’re able to return. We’ll be checking in tomorrow on the pavilions to show you what EPCOT is like when it reopens so stay tuned for more updates.
