#DisneyMagicMoments: Learn to Draw a Haunted Mansion-Inspired Manor

From a castle and pirate scene to an Adventureland-inspired treehouse, Disney Imagineers continue to host new drawing tutorials on the Disney Parks Blog. Today, Imagineer Stephanie Jazmines will show you and your family and friends how to draw a Haunted Mansion-inspired manor!

This spirited scene of a stately manor balances spookiness with humor just like the Haunted Mansion attraction. Use your imagination to stretch the design and add your own ghostly goings-on, as an added challenge. Of course, there’s always Stephanie’s way.

Stay tuned for more of Imagineering’s creative ways to celebrate the Halloween season at home this month!

Something Is Stirring: Reimaging Dinosaurs

I have always been fascinated by dinosaurs and when you journey to Montana with Adventures by Disney, you can travel back in time for an after-hours tour of the Siebel Dinosaur Complex-home to one of the world’s largest collections of dinosaur fossils including a world-class collection of Tyrannosaurus Rex fossils.

This month our friends at National Geographic are celebrating the secrets of dinosaurs and bringing new discoveries to life. Incredible fossil finds have dramatically changed our image of dinosaurs – even of the most iconic species! Using cutting-edge new technology, scientists have unearthed the secrets of how dinosaurs looked, lived, and perished.

Explore the new science that is giving these prehistoric icons a modern reboot at NatGeo.com/Dinos and if you’re ready to roar into your own adventure, be sure to visit Adventures by Disney.

#DisneyMagicMoments: 5 Great Ways to Celebrate Halloween at Magic Kingdom Park

The spooky season is upon us, and Magic Kingdom Park is welcoming foolish mortals looking for some happy haunts at Walt Disney World Resort. Check out this new Halloween Hit List for some eerily delightful places in the park to have some frightfully festive fun this season.

Looking for even more ghoulish goodness? Here’s what else is happening this month in Magic Kingdom Park:

  • For the first time, guests of all ages can wear Halloween costumes during regular park hours, now through Oct. 31.
  • Special Halloween-themed cavalcades pop up on the park’s parade route throughout the day and head down Main Street, U.S.A. You may spot Mickey Mouse and his pals or Disney Villains. And did you happen to catch a certain Pumpkin King in the video?
  • Also on Main Street, U.S.A., keep an ear out for the Cadaver Dans, who will provide enchanting a cappella performances upon emerging from their tombs!
  • As you saw in the video, festive Halloween-themed merchandise is available at select locations around the park, including a candy-swirl Minnie Mouse headband, apparel inspired by Disney Villains and more.
  • Dig into some more devilishly delicious treats around the park, such as the Hades Nachos at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Café, or Constance’s For Better or For Worse Wedding Cake at Liberty Square Market. For even more treats you can find around Walt Disney World Resort theme parks this fall, check out our 2020 fall foodie guide here; for fall-inspired treats at Disney Springs and our Resort hotels, click here.

We’re celebrating Halloween all month long here on the Disney Parks Blog, so keep checking back for more fiendishly fun #DisneyMagicMoments!

Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Will Reopen Nov. 6 at Walt Disney World Resort

With the fall and winter seasons approaching in Florida, Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf will reopen to guests beginning Nov. 6 at Walt Disney World Resort.

Winter Summerland Miniature Golf offers two uniquely themed 18-hole courses, each with their own distinct musical soundtrack. As the name suggests, the first course draws inspiration from the winter season, including snow castles and ice hockey rinks. The second course represents all things summer. Guests navigate surf boards, sand sculptures and even a melted snowman.

As Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf reopens next month, Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf will close for the season on Nov. 5 and reopen on Jan. 31, 2021.
