Here are ALL the Changes to the Reopened The Daily Poutine in Disney World!

We’ve waited for this day and it has finally arrived! The Daily Poutine has officially reopened at Disney Springs!

Daily Poutine

Our love of all things poutine at Disney World compelled us to stop by and see if anything had changed at this walk-up window location, and if any new procedures were in place!

We got in line at The Daily Poutine shortly after joining the virtual queue for World of Disney. The virtual queue system works great because while you wait for your turn to shop, you can grab some delicious poutine! What a win-win situation!

Reopened Daily Poutine

We spotted all our classic favorites on the menu: Italian, Classic, French, and Latin poutine are available for purchase!

Credit card readers were available for payment methods. They were also accepting contactless payment, which we anticipate at more dining locations in the coming weeks.

In accordance with the new health and safety protocols at Disney Springs, Cast Members were seen wearing face masks as well as gloves.

Reopened Daily Poutine

Instead of the bowls we’re used to seeing the poutine served in, they were handing out paper boats instead. We’re not sure if this was just a temporary change or more permanent, so we’ll be sure to check back in the coming days and let you know.

We ordered the Classic Poutine — a combo of crisp french fries, cheese curds, and gravy for $9.49. These are a substantial serving and do not disappoint (especially for breakfast, in our case!).

Poutine!

One of the biggest changes we saw was the new, contactless utensil dispensers. These were surprisingly cool — simple grab a handle and pull gently to remove your utensil and a new one pops out in its place!

If you’re craving poutine next time you’re at Disney Springs, The Daily Poutine is OPEN and back in the swing of things, so stop by and grab some delicious fries!

Dole Whip Nachos a Refreshing Treat at Disney Springs

dole whip nachos disney springs

I am a lover of nachos and these Dole Whip Nachos were not disappointing.  And it was so nice to finally taste Disney’s Dole Whip again!

Dole Whip Nachos are waffle cone “chips” topped with pineapple Dole Whip, mango boba pearls, pineapple, strawberry syrup, and whipped cream.  The mango boba pearls were such a good touch and I personally enjoyed using the “chips” to scoop up the toppings. Such a fun twist!

On a hot and humid Florida day, like today, these were such a welcome and refreshing treat… maybe even big enough to share.  The Dole Whip Nachos are sold at Marketplace Snacks which is across from Disney’s Marketplace Co-op at Disney Springs.  Marketplace Snacks is your source for all pineapple Dole Whip cravings.

The treat costs $8.99 and cannot be redeemed for a snack credit.  Also, be sure to follow social distancing markers that are there for your safety and the safety of the cast members.  Will you be heading to Disney Springs soon to satisfy some of your Disney cravings?

We can’t wait for that great big beautiful tomorrow in the parks when we can experience the magic again.

One of Our MANY Questions About Disney World’s Food and Wine Festival Might Have Been ANSWERED!

Since Disney World closed in mid-March, we had wondered how different the parks and experiences would be upon reopening. One of those experiences we had a ton of questions about was the Epcot International Food and Wine Festival.

2019 Epcot Food and Wine Festival

Based on our trip today to Disney Springs, we have gained some insight on how the festival may be a bit different this fall!

We stopped by the Daily Poutine (because we obviously needed cheese and gravy after all these months inside!), and as we went to grab our fork to dig into our delicious boat of french fries, gravy, and cheese curds, we noticed something a bit different about the utensil dispenser!

Daily Poutine at Disney Springs

The utensil dispensers are set up now so you do not have to come in contact with any surface that another person may have touched. Before, the utensil dispensers commonly had a lever on the side that everyone needed to push to receive a new utensil. Here’s the old style:

And the NEW:

Now, you just pull out your individual utensil and off you go! The ONLY thing you will be touching is the handle of the utensil that YOU will use! After you pull out your fork, another handle pops out!

The utensils themselves look a little different too and are designed in a way to fit in these new dispensers.

Looking ahead to the Food and Wine Festival, we wouldn’t be surprised if these new dispensers were placed at each one of the outdoor food booths! We can probably expect to see these at counter service locations when the parks reopen, too.

Check out some of the other health and safety procedures we’ve witnessed at Disney Springs here!

Food News: Disney World Will Offer Contactless Menus for Guests When Theme Parks Reopen

Disney World made the historic announcement today that they intend to reopen their theme parks mid-July, after their lengthy closure.

It’s Mickey!

As part of their announcement, they outlined a number of new health and safety guidelines that will be implemented throughout their parks and resorts upon reopening. These guidelines range from an advance reservation system to a new Social Distancing Squad. Guests can also expect their dining experiences to look a little different.

A key component of these reopening guidelines is the increase in contactless experiences for guests. Examples include the increase in Mobile Ordering (meaning you can order food from your phone) and contactless payments such as Apple Pay, Google Pay, or the use of Magic Bands.

For guests at table service restaurants, Disney World will be offering contactless menus via QR codes that guests can access. Disposable paper menus will also be available if a guest prefers a non-digital menu. We have already seen digital menus appear at Disney Springs, like at Wine Bar George.

Note that in addition to contactless menus, restaurants will operate with limited capacity when the parks reopen. As part of these limited contact experiences, Disney will also be temporarily suspending all character meet and greets, so character dining may look a little different.

Will you be taking advantage of the digital menus at Disney World? If you’ve been to Disney Springs recently and utilized the digital menus, what was your experience like? Let us know in the comments!

Can You Still Fill Your Refillable Popcorn Buckets in Disney World? Find Out Here!

Disney-owned locations reopened today in Disney Springs and we ? have ? questions!

Popcorn in Disney Springs

If you know us, then you KNOW we miss our Disney snacks. We’ve been investigating all those snack locations to see what iconic Disney eats are available to us once more. We’ve spotted Mickey Pretzels, Popcorn, and even DOLE WHIP. One thing is heavy on our minds though — will Cast Members still refill our refillable popcorn buckets with the added health measures? We found out!

We were wandering Disney Springs today when an amazing development caught our eye — a popcorn stand, popping away! We headed over to snag some of our favorite Disney snacks and to see what sort of health changes they had made.

Popcorn

Like in all other dining locations in Disney Springs, distancing markers are in place to keep guests and Cast Members safe. We snagged a scoop of popcorn to munch on but not before asking if they would fill our refillable buckets for us in the future.

Snack and Cocktail Carts

Well, it turns out that YES, they will fill refillable souvenir buckets. They, however, weren’t selling the refillable popcorn buckets today. You had to already have a refillable popcorn bucket with you.

We will be back with more details on this process soon!

Will you be bringing your refillable bucket to Disney Springs? Tell us in the comments!
