While we’ve been at home, we’ve been online shopping up a storm while we watch Disney+. And even if we don’t have green thumbs like WALL-E or Eve, we will definitely cherish these adorable new bags!
The WALL-E and Eve Loungeflys are about to soar into our hearts! The newest collection features a WALL-E Loungefly Backpack and a WALL-E and Eve Purse!
The Backpack has two extra “wheel” compartments (we can’t handle how cute these are) and both the backpack and purse feature their little plant. Look at how sweet our OTP is together!!
We can’t wait for these new items to roll out online, so stay tuned! Plus, they would just look so stinkin’ cute paired with the WALL-E Alex and Ani Bracelet! If these aren’t must-have pieces of Disney merchandise, we don’t know what is.
Disney is looking to celebrate journeys from one chapter of life into the next.
Magic Kingdom
And, many graduating college students are experiencing that moment right now! While a lot of the Class of 2020 didn’t have a traditional graduation, Disney Cast and Crew Members are gathering together to celebrate the occasion!
Although they might not be wearing that cap and gown right now, there’s still some Disney magic for graduates. Don Hahn, the filmmaker behind the Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Maleficent, and more, wants to help congratulate the Class of 2020.
He encourages students to “celebrate the milestones” and to “meditate on the possibilities of life” since each one can bring great things. He wants them to know that the most important thing they can do is embrace their unique gifts and be the best version of themselves. You can watch Doh Hahn’s sweet “Commencement Speech” here!
Anybody else just feeling super inspired to chase their dreams now??
One of the biggest Disney questions ever asked must be is Disney’s Goofy a dog? This has been asked in films, between Cast Members and definitely between Cast Members and guests! Well now is the time to find out as Bill Farmer, the voice actor of Goofy, met with Yahoo! to discuss this long-standing debate!
Is Goofy a dog?
According to Bill Farmer, who has been the voice of Goofy since 1987, Goofy is definitely “not a dog”! Whilst Pluto is a dog, Goofy “seems to be in the canine family” but more distantly related like the wolf, according to Bill. He said more like “Canis Goofus”, which he coins is the “technical Latin term for what Goofy is”, in that “he is just Goofy!”.
Therefore, during this period of quietness caused by COVID-19, we have not only received an explanation but also an answer to the big debate about whether or not Goofy is a dog and how Goofy and Pluto can look so similar! Or why, in the Fab 5, (Mickey Mouse and Friends), why there are two characters which look like dogs, (Goofy and Pluto) and why only Pluto acts like a dog, whereas Goofy appears more humanlike! Well… it’s because Goofy is his own species… “Canis Goofus!”
However, whilst Bill Farmer is definitely a Goofy specialist, being the voice actor for Goofy for over 20 years, we have yet to hear from the Walt Disney Company to confirm this original species! What do you think? Is Goofy a dog?
Don’t forget to tune into Disney+ to watch Bill Farmer in his new documentary series, “It’s a Dog’s Life with Bill Farmer”. The 10-episode series, features Bill going cross country to get an inside look into the incredible and diverse set of jobs dogs are doing to aid humans!

First Look at the Script for Percy Jackson Coming to Disney+. After the launch of Disney+, and the welcome reception for original content on the streaming platform, it didn’t take fans of the Percy Jackson novels to plead their case to Disney about creating a live-action series for the new streaming platform. Well “demigods,” you asked and Disney answered.
Author Rick Riordan has been in talks with Disney since December 2019 and it seems the two have come to an agreement: Disney+ will be the home of a new live-action adaption of the Percy Jackson & the Olympians book series!
Riordan shared the news via Twitter, sharing: “Hey Percy Jackson fans, for the past decade, you’ve worked hard to champion a faithful on-screen adaptation of Percy Jackson’s world,” Riordan wrote in a note to fans on Twitter. “Some of you have even suggested it would be a good series for Disney+. We couldn’t agree more!”
Rick Riordan also shared a first look at the script via Twitter along with the caption, “Hope you guys have a great weekend! I know I will. I have some work to do.”
Rick also shared previously, “We can’t say much more at this stage but we are very excited about the idea of a live-action series of the highest quality, following the storyline of the original Percy Jackson five-book series, starting with The Lightning Thief in season one. Rest assured that Becky & I will be involved in person in every aspect of the show. There will be much more news in the future, but for now we have a lot go work to do! Buckle up, demigods. It’s going to be a fantastic, exciting ride!”
At the time of writing there have been no formal casting decisions and the only names tied to the project are currently Becky and Rick Riordan. It is currently unknown when the series will begin filming or when it will premiere on Disney+, but we are excited none-the-less!
