Fan Made Cast List for Disney’s Live-Action ‘Hercules’ Goes Viral. A photo featuring a fan made casting for Disney’s live-action Hercules has taken to social media by storm. Despite this easily being proven as a fan-made casting choice, many Disney Fans were completely on board if the list turned out to be true. Others, not so much…
The photo showcasing the fake casting choices for Disney’s upcoming live-action Hercules was originally shared by RuPaul’s Drag Race Family Facebook page along with the caption: “HERCULES remake is coming. Who else is as excited about this cast as we are?”
The fake casting list features Noah Centineo as Hercules, Jodie Comer as Megara, Jeff Goldblum as Hades, Ian McShane as Zeus, Helen Mirren as Hera, and Danny Devito as Philoctetes, Simon Pegg as Pain, Nick Frost as Panic, Stanley Tucci as Hermes, with the muses played by Jennifer Hudson as Calliope, Janelle Monae as Terpischore, Keke Palmer as Clio, Coco Jones as Melpomene, Amber Riley as Thalia, and finally the three fates played by Helen McCrory as Clotho, Carol Kane as Lachesis, and Imelda Staunton as Atropos.
Since the confirmation from Joe and Anthony Russo (Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers: Endgame), aka The Russo Brothers, about their involvement in the project, casting choices have been a hot topic among Disney Fans.

Front runners for the roles include Tom Holland and Chris Pratt as Hercules, Ariana Grande as Megara, Beyonce as the Muse Clio, Sylvester Stallone as Zues, Kate Winslet as Hera, and many others up for debate. One fan favored casting choice was for Josh Gad (Frozen, Beauty and the Beast) to play Phil in the film, but the actor himself denied the rumors and the role. “Lol. No. No No. I will not be playing Phil. There is only one man who should be playing Phil and his name is Danny DeVito.”
Ariana Grande set the bar high after her viral performance of “I Won’t Say I’m In Love” during the Disney Family Singalong on ABC earlier this year. The performance also sparked even more interest in the live-action remake.
Though no formal casting decisions have been announced, most (if not all) of the internet is in agreement that Danny DeVito is the only man who could bring Phil to life on the big screen for a second time. Who would be in your “dream cast” for Disney’s live-action Hercules? Do you think Danny DeVito should reprise his role, or should the character be replaced with a fresh face? Should Disney consider a completely new cast for the film, or go with tried and true actors that are familiar faces to audiences? We would love to hear your dream casts and thoughts in the comments!
