Scott Derrickson to Direct ‘Labyrinth’ Sequel

Scott Derrickson to Direct ‘Labyrinth’ Sequel. After separating from ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ as director, it seems Scott Derrickson has found a new project. The famed horror director is set to work on a sequel to Jim Henson’s Labyrinth.

The production team for the sequel includes Derrickson as director, Maggie Levin will be penning the script, and Lisa Henson will be producing the film with Brian Henson acting as executive producer. It is currently unknown what premise the film will follow but the production team has been clear that it will not be a remake or reboot, and instead will be a distinct sequel to Jim Henson’s Labyrinth. The sequel will be filmed by TriStar Productions for The Jim Henson Company.

Not familiar with the cult classic? Check out this synopsis of the 1986 film:

“Frustrated with babysitting on yet another weekend night, Sarah, a teenager with an active imagination, summons the Goblins to take her baby halfbrother away. When little Toby actually disappears, Sarah must follow him into a fantastical world to rescue him from the Goblin King, Jareth. Guarding his castle is the labyrinth itself, a twisted maze of deception, populated with outrageous characters and unknown dangers. To get through it in time to save Toby, Sarah befriends the Goblins, in hopes that their loyalty isn’t just another illusion in a place where nothing is as it seems.”

The Stunning Frozen Castle Collection Has Been Revealed For June

The enchanting Disney Castle collection continues next month with Frozen! The Frozen Castle Collection has finally been revealed, and it is stunning! This is part of a bi-monthly collectible series, that will feature a different castle every 2 months with an assortment of collectibles.

Frozen Castle Collection

The castle of Arendelle sparkles gorgeously for the June series! The new collection is set to release online at in the UK on Tuesday June 9th, and will also release for shopDisney in the US. However the US release date has not been announced, in April it was on the first Saturday of the month, so we can probably expect to see it on a Saturday in June as well.

Frozen Castle Collection

The collection will include a light-up figurine, a figural ornament, hinged pin, bound journal, and a Ravensburger Puzzle! The figurine and ornament are replicas of the castle, with incredible detailing! Puzzles have also been a hot item, and we’re sure this will be a must have!

Next up in the collection, we can expect to see Mulan! Mulan doesn’t have a “castle” of her own, so I am REALLY excited to see what that collection will hold for us!

Are you excited for the Frozen Castle Collection coming to shopDisney this June?

Spaceship Earth Now Officially Closed for Refurbishment

spaceship earth

According to the Disney World website Spaceship Earth is now officially closed for refurbishment.

Before the closure of Walt Disney World we reported that Spaceship Earth was set to close on May 26th for a ride refurbishment but the Disney World website did not have it listed as closed till today.

Spaceship Earth is supposed to receive an update to go with the new look & feel of Epcot.

You’ll visit Egypt, which is part of the current version of the attraction, but it will be an Egypt like you’ve never seen before, transformed through the power of light.

Throughout the attraction, you’ll hear new narration and see how light plays a central role in our shared human journey, coming to life in dynamic ways in a celebration of the magic that’s possible when we all come together.

With the big news of today that Disney World will be submitting their reopening plans to Orange County tomorrow it looks like if they were to reopen we won’t be able to have one last right on the classic Epcot attraction.
