Disney World Cinderella Castle Update

Disney World Cinderella Castle Update

We previously reported on how Cinderella Castle is receiving a magical makeover this year. We saw Disney start work on the castle back in March, and it’s amazing how much the appearance has changed already. In recent days, we went to explore the monorail resorts and caught a glimpse of Cinderella Castle from Disney’s Contemporary Resort. The great news is it looks like the magical makeover is almost complete!

Disney World Cinderella Castle Update

The castle’s paintwork is the first sign of progress we’ve seen so far. The blue spires show the most noticeable paintwork so far. It went from a baby clue to a vibrant royal blue color. This bold color choice gives a vibrant appearance to the top of the castle. Also, the inner curtain, which is what we call the interior section of Cinderella Castle, is getting a rose gold paint treatment. It’s a subtle color choice, but it definitely adds a pop of color to a traditionally grey castle.

The last time we saw Cinderella Castle up close inside Magic Kingdom was in March. But now other Disney fans have observed signs that the magical makeover is still being worked on at Magic Kingdom. We can see that the crew has advanced in painting and that we’re getting closer to seeing the finished product!

What do you think of the new blue and pink paint on Cinderella Castle? It’ll be exciting to see the finished product once the magical makeover is complete.

The Stitch case is all blue with his lovable and mischievous face printed on it. This case comes with a complimenting blue stray for easy on the go carrying.

Lastly, we have my favorite of the three, the Mad Tea Party case! This case is a bright poppy pink with swirls, flowers, hearts, and TEA CUPS!! Whimsical tea cups from the swirling and spinning ride are sprinkled about for a fun and colorful case that captures the fun of the beloved attraction.

We found these fun Disney Phone Carrying Cases at World of Disney in Disney Springs! Currently, we only see them for iPhones though.

What do you think of these fun phone cases?

The Child Plush by Mattel Arrives to Disney Springs

Is anyone else super ready for the return of The Mandalorian to Disney+? I certainly am, but we’ve got a bit of a wait still. Of course, for Mando fans, Disney keeps churning out merchandise featuring The Child – the adorable Baby Yoda character. At Disney Springs we came across The Child Plush by Mattel at World of Disney.

The plush doll has a truly authentic character likeness thanks to its plastic head. The rest of the doll is cuddly with soft fabric. There is also special packaging resembling the crib as seen in the show. The Child plush doll is $24.99 and is also available at shopDisney online.

Is The Child the way to your heart?

NEWS: Disney Park Pass Reservations are Available NOW for All Existing Ticket Holders!

Just last Monday, Disney launched the all-new Disney Park Pass theme park reservations system to help manage capacity in the parks during the reopening.

NEWS: Disney Park Pass Reservations are Available NOW for All Existing Ticket Holders!

Magic Kingdom

The first round of the Disney Park Pass opened to guests with existing resort reservations on June 22nd with the second round opening up for Annual Passholders on June 26th. Now, Disney Park Passes are available for ALL guests with existing park tickets!

Availability just opened up today for all those ticket holders without Annual Passes or resort reservations. These guests are able to make a reservation for each day of entry for the number of days they have tickets. As a reminder, Park hopping is temporarily suspended, so they will be limited to one park per day.

NEWS: Disney Park Pass Reservations are Available NOW for All Existing Ticket Holders!

Ticket Holder Park Pass Availability

If this is the first chance you’ve had to access the system, you might be worried that some days will be completely booked up. Well, don’t worry! Disney set aside park availability so that those with existing park tickets would be able to access their desired park. As of now, you can book reservations through September 26th, 2021.

Epcot Entrance in Walt Disney World

While some days had originally booked up at certain parks, Disney added more park passes to the formerly “sold-out” dates so that Annual Passholders would have the opportunity to snag them. Passholders quickly snatched up many of the available passes for the initial month of reopening. In fact, while a few readers noted that they got them, we never saw availability to Magic Kingdom on opening day (July 11th) for Passholders, but currently all other categories can still get Park Passes to that park on that day. Here’s the Passholder availability calendar at the time of writing:

NEWS: Disney Park Pass Reservations are Available NOW for All Existing Ticket Holders!

Passholder Park Pass Availability

This means that for most days in July, for example, Passholders without a hotel reservation have limited to no options for a Park Pass, but there’s still plenty available for standard ticket holders and hotel guests. Disney has not said if they plan to give Passholders more options as we get closer to the reopening.

Guests with existing hotel reservations (who got the first crack at the system on Monday) still have wide-open availability outside of the initial reopening week, which has seen a few parks “sell out.”

NEWS: Disney Park Pass Reservations are Available NOW for All Existing Ticket Holders!

Resort Guest Park Pass Availability

Due to the separate groups of Park Pass allotments, this means certain guests actually have interesting options when it comes to booking. Do you have a hotel reservation AND standard tickets purchased? Maybe consider unlinking your Hotel Reservation so, in the system, you’ll get the standard ticket holder options (which have more options currently than what hotel guests have). When in doubt, call or chat with Disney directly for help.

Disney Park Pass reservations are subject to availability so hurry over if you want to ensure park entry! You’ll need valid admission AND a Disney Park Pass reservation to enter the parks when they reopen. Note that the system seems to be running smoothly at the time of writing this. Earlier this week, hotel guests were met with a crashing website and an overloaded system. This seems to be working much more efficiently now.
