‘Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings‘ May Resume Filming Very Soon. Marvel Fans have been waiting to hear news about the future of the MCU and when filming will resume for several big name projects currently on hiatus after the shutdown of studios due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Well Marvel fanatics, looks like filming will resume very soon!

One of the rumored cast members for the Shang-Chi film potentially leaked the restart of filming in Australia with a photo on Instagram and the caption, “Guess who’s back. Quarantine look after 10 weeks of isolating myself. Hope y’all are safe, time to get back to normal.”

“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings is an upcoming American superhero film based on the Marvel Comics character Shang-Chi. Produced by Marvel Studios and distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures, it is intended to be the 26th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.”

Producer Roy Lee shared there is relief at Marvel Studios regarding production concerns after it was learned a vaccine for COVID-19 would not be required in order for filming to resume.

“Initially, when the shutdowns began, I feared that we would have to wait for a vaccine to be developed before any production would be back up and running. But now I’m optimistic that there will be a plan in place to allow for smaller-scale productions to start before a vaccine is developed,” Lee speculated. “I believe that it will be one of the first studio productions that will start once we figure out the proper protocols that will ensure that the cast and crew are as safe, if not more, during production than they would have been pre-pandemic.”

Secret Marvel Movie In the Works at Sony Pictures

Secret Marvel Movie In the Works at Sony Pictures. According to an exclusive report from Variety, Sony Pictures is working on a new Marvel Film and has tapped S.J. Clarkson to direct. Sony has yet to comment on the scoop, but signs point heavily to Sony’s interest in developing a Madame Web led film, potentially starring Charlize Theron or Amy Adams, whom are reported to be the top interests for the lead role of Cassandra Webb/Madame Web.

The character is unlike any we have seen in Marvel movies and is frequently characterized along with her chair connected to vital life functioning tubes that take the form of a spiderweb due to her life long battle with Myasthenia Gravis. Myasthenia Gravis is a neuromuscular disorder that causes weakness in the skeletal muscles, which are the muscles your body uses for movement. It occurs when communication between nerve cells and muscles becomes impaired.

In a synopsis of the character, Marvel shares, “Though Cassandra Webb suffered from a lifetime of blindness and many years of neurological deterioration due to Myasthenia Gravis, she compensated with her profound psychic abilities, establishing herself as a medium.”

Other than Clarkson, no other production team members, such as producers, writers, etc., have been announced at this time and it was confirmed by Variety that even the potential stars for the film have yet to meet with the Studio at the time of writing.

Should Sony decide to bring Madame Web into the Spider-Man film franchise it is unknown if the character would be considered canon with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, despite possibly appearing with Tom Holland‘s Spider-Man/Peter Parker.

Funko has unveiled yet another fun-tastic new game! The new Marvel Battleworld Game is a micro-collectible game with figures, cards, anda unique game system. Marvel Battleworld: Mystery of the Thanostones is super fun and hitting Target in June.

Marvel Battleworld: Mystery of the Thanostones, is a micro collectible, tabletop gaming system. The new adventure game, based on the Marvel Universe, combines micro collectible characters, cards and gaming. IT allows kids to battle against Thanos in gameplay unleashed through a Battle Ball. Each Battle Ball contains a surprise of two Marvel collectable characters, Hero Cards, Battle Cards and pair of dice. Players can collect Marvel micro-heroes ranging from icons like Iron Man, Captain Marvel and Groot, as well as characters like Valkyrie Gamora and Throg.
