Minnie Mouse Shares One of Her Favorite Poems About Her Passion for Polka-Dot

by , Director, Public Relations, Disney Signature Experiences

It’s no secret that Minnie Mouse is a lover of fashion and a style icon in her own right.  She even has her own iconic fashion statement…polka-dots!

Her love of the bold and playful pattern can also be seen in one of her newest outfits at Topolino’s – Flavors of the Riviera at Disney’s Riviera Resort, but not how you are expecting.

Look closely and you might see that even though her dress is covered in the words of some of her favorite poems, her love of polka dots is clear as one of the poems is an ode to her signature print.

We hope this poem makes you smile as much as polka dots make Minnie Mouse smile.

Ode to my Polka-Dots
I wake up every morning
And put on my polka dots
I open up my closet,
And I see them –lots and lots!

The color doesn’t matter
Some are red and some are blue
But all my skirts are spotted,
My bows and bags are too!

I dress them up with ruffles
I dress them up with lace
You’d think that I’d grow tired of them
But oh! That’s not the case!

When I look into the mirror,
And it’s polka dots I see,
I just can’t help but smile
Because they make me feel like me!

The Disney memory of a first Jingle Cruise with mom still brings tears to the eyes of panelist Robyn N.  Lauren H. shared a heartfelt moment during a visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on an unforgettable mother-daughter trip.  For Julie P., her mom’s first trip to Disney is a most special memory.  And Brandy B. and her mom made a few visits to Mickey Mouse in 2015 but one was extra magical!

Panelist Thiana S. still remembers her special Disney memory with mom (and brother) years ago at Cinderella Castle.  And Bryan M’s shared his magical memory with mom and sister – and Pluto.

A special memory for Allyn B. was a Disney visit with her grandmother.  And for Jen R., a touching reunion with her mother at the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival will always be cherished.
