Although the holiday crowds have dwindled, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is having some high wait times. Today’s average wait times at Hollywood Studios rank at number 2 out of the past 30 days. There are two causes: Rise of the Resistance is having a bumpy day of operations, but also Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster has been unexpectedly not functioning for the past few days. The rest of the Walt Disney World parks are having fairly low posted wait times, with EPCOT having some of the lowest wait times of the past 30 days.

Disney’s Hollywood Studios Wait Times
What a rough day! It can be assumed that today’s high wait times aren’t due to large crowds so much, but rather to the operational issues at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster and Rise of the Resistance. The issues at Rise also caused Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to have an average wait time today of 83 minutes. Its 7-day average is 76 minutes, so today ranks #1 for this week. Its 30-day average is 68 minutes, so today ranks #2 for the past month. Its 365-day average is 59 minutes, so today ranks #26 for the past year.
You can see that after 2:00 p.m. when park hopping to other parks became an option that wait times in Hollywood Studios start to decline.
Star Tours: The Adventures Continue had an average wait time today of 44 minutes. Its 7-day average is 43 minutes, so today ranks #2 for this week. Its 30-day average is 36 minutes, so today ranks #2 for the past month. We received 6 actual wait times today, and the actual wait averaged 44% of the posted wait time.
The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror had an average wait time today of 80 minutes. Its 7-day average is 74 minutes, so today ranks #1 for this week. Today was still a relatively busy day at Magic Kingdom, cracking the top 10 of the past 30 days. There is an uptick in the average posted wait times at 3:00 p.m. and onward indicating Magic Kingdom’s popular hop over to once Park Hopper Hours kick in at 2:00 p.m.

If you ever want to feel like you have EPCOT to yourself, visit on the rare days that there isn’t a festival going on. All attractions had some of the lowest posted wait times of the past 7 days, except for Gran Fiesta Tour, and there’s a good reason. It seems Donald Duck is taking the day off, his animatronic at the finale scene has been removed. As word spread across the internet Disney bloggers (guilty!) flocked to see the lack of Donald for themselves.

Slinky Dog Dash is a mild outdoor coaster designed to look as if Andy constructed it in his backyard using Tinkertoys, his new Dash & Dodge Mega Coaster Playkit, and Slinky Dog as the coaster’s train.
Despite its theme and backstory, this coaster just may be the perfect coaster for adults. It’s entertaining enough for thrill-seekers but smooth and gentle enough for adults prone to motion sickness or who prefer calmer rides. It also means Slinky Dog Dash is a ride both parents and kids will enjoy together.
Fans of the classic Twilight Zone television series will no doubt enjoy the theme, but all adults will appreciate the level of detail and immersion. Also, unlike other amusement park drop rides, Tower of Terror doesn’t drop just once but multiple times at random offering a different experience each time.
Toy Story Mania can best be described as a virtual dark ride through an interactive midway-style shooting gallery. The premise for this attraction is Andy has a new midway carnival game that Woody, Buzz, and the gang are having some fun with. Guests, who have been shrunk down to the size of a toy, are going to test their skills at the individual games and compete for the highest score.
Toy Story Mania’s user-friendly interactivity is great for kids and non-techie adults, but it’s also challenging enough for other adults and even hard-core gamers. Plus, the ride’s scoring system and ability to compete against your family and other riders adds a whole other level of appeal.
Expedition Everest is a masterclass in Disney storytelling and immersion. Plus, it sends guests in and out, up and down, and even backward in a man-made mountain that’s the tallest attraction at Walt Disney World. It checks all the boxes of a thrill ride but keeps guests coming back for its atmosphere and experience.
This attraction is about the closest you can get to an actual African safari and is an experience guests remember long after they’ve left the park. Guests also enjoy a variety of terrains and wildlife ranging from giraffes to elephants to cheetahs to lions. But since these are live animals, you never know which animals you might see and what they might be up to.
Flight of Passage is a thrill ride where guests remain stationary throughout the experience. They may feel like they’re flying, dipping, and moving at high speeds; in reality, they’ve never moved from their bike. Not only does this fact comfort adults who are wary of typical thrill rides, but the tone of the attraction is something adults love too.
