Be our guest to Beast’s enchanted castle!

As we keep getting closer to the reopening of the Walt Disney World Resort on July 11th some changes need to be made, including with dining.

One of the restaurants that is getting modifications is “Be Our Guest” at Magic Kingdom. The first one is getting rid of the breakfast option that many people loved to enjoy before starting their day at the park.

The lunch option also had some changes, it went from quick-service to table-service with an updated menu and price.

The menu is now “prix fixe” and $62 instead of $19 for adults.

These Disney Live-Action Films Will Debut on Disney+ Earlier than Expected

These Disney Live-Action Films Will Debut on Disney+ Earlier than Expected. Many of our favorite films are currently available to stream on Disney+, but what about titles that have yet to debut?

Due to existing contracts between streaming services and television networks, many Disney and related titles could not be added to the Disney+ library at the time of launch. That being said, it seems several live-action Disney movies will be headed to Disney+ sooner than expected!

Here are the titles coming soon(er) to Disney+:

The Jungle Book (2016)

“Raised by a family of wolves since birth, Mowgli (Neel Sethi) must leave the only home he’s ever known when the fearsome tiger Shere Khan (Idris Elba) unleashes his mighty roar. Guided by a no-nonsense panther (Ben Kingsley) and a free-spirited bear (Bill Murray), the young boy meets an array of jungle animals, including a slithery python and a smooth-talking ape. Along the way, Mowgli learns valuable life lessons as his epic journey of self-discovery leads to fun and adventure.”

The Jungle Book was set to swing onto Disney+ beginning May 30, 2021, but the streaming service has changed that date to June 19th 2020.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales

“Thrust into an all-new adventure, a down-on-his-luck Capt. Jack Sparrow feels the winds of ill-fortune blowing even more strongly when deadly ghost sailors led by his old nemesis, the evil Capt. Salazar, escape from the Devil’s Triangle. Jack’s only hope of survival lies in seeking out the legendary Trident of Poseidon, but to find it, he must forge an uneasy alliance with a brilliant and beautiful astronomer and a headstrong young man in the British navy.”

The last of the Pirates films was to be added to the library on December 2nd, 2020 and now you can watch Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales starting Friday, July 24th, 2020.

Beauty and the Beast (2017)

“An arrogant prince is cursed to live as a terrifying beast until he finds true love. Strangely, his chance comes when he captures an unwary clockmaker, whose place is then taken by his bold and beautiful daughter Belle. Helped by the Beast’s similarly enchanted servants, including a clock, a teapot and a candelabra, Belle begins to see the sensitive soul behind the fearsome facade. But as time runs out, it soon becomes obvious that Belle’s cocky suitor Gaston is the real beast of the piece.”

The live action Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Josh Gad, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor, and Ian McKellen, was scheduled to stream via Disney+ on October 1, 2020, but has been moved up to August 21, 2020.

Alice Through the Looking Glass

“After slipping through a mirror, Alice finds herself back in Underland with the White Queen, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Her friends tell her that the Mad Hatter is in a funk over the loss of his family. Hoping to save his loved ones, Alice steals the Chronosphere from Time to travel into the past. While there, she encounters the younger Hatter and the evil Red Queen.”

Alice Through the Looking Glass was originally intended to join the roster on July 11, 2022, but will now be available to stream on Disney+ beginning August 28, 2020.

Josh Gad Hints at New Music from Alan Menken for ‘Gaston and LeFou’ Disney+ Series

Josh Gad Hints at New Music from Alan Menken for ‘Gaston and LeFou’ Disney+ Series. Though Disney has yet to confirm the series, THR reported that Disney has ordered a 6-episode musical prequel series for Beauty and the Beast focused on the characters of Gaston and LeFou. The live-action film, released in 2017, grossed over $1 billion at the global box office and won over audiences world wide despite initial concerns over adapting the animated feature film into a live-action film.

Josh Gad recently shared a cryptic tweet with a photo of his performance as LeFou along with the caption: “This week I may or may not have hears a few new [Alan Menken] songs for something in the works and I may or may not be quaking with excitement.”

At the helm of the ‘Beauty and the Beast‘ prequel series are veteran Disney writers, Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz. If those names sound familiar that’s because they are the writers for ABC’s hit television series Once Upon a Time. The pair has had a bit of experience writing Beauty and the Beast related content with that story being an integral part of the series and a major arc of redemption for the character Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle).

Both Josh Gad (LeFou) and Luke Evans (Gaston) are set to reprise their roles for the series, with rumors that Emma Watson (Belle) and Dan Stevens (Beast/Prince Adam) may appear in guest appearance roles. It is currently unknown if other cast members such as Ewan McGregor (Lumiere), Kevin Klein (Maurice), Emma Thompson (Mrs. Potts), Ian McKellan (Cogsworth), and others will join the 6-episode series. Previously rumored to return is Oscar winning composer and Disney Legend Alan Menken, and it looks like Gad himself is confirming our suspicions that Menken will be composing the soundtrack for the series and it will incorporate musical numbers just like the live-action film.

THR reports that Kitsis, Horowitz, and Gad will be writing and producing the series for Disney+. No other details are available at this time. Be sure to check back here at Chip and Co for all things Disney+!
