We’ve been working our way around the reopened restaurants in Disney Springs to check out what’s new!
And we recently made our way over to Paradiso 37 to see what’s cookin’! This restaurant is known for its massive tequila bar and delicious tapas, so we were excited to dig in!
Atmosphere
Paradiso 37 manages to create a vibe that has a good balance between casual and upscale. And with outdoor seating with a view of the water, it’s a great spot to enjoy some apps and drinks when the weather is nice!
As we’ve noticed at other Disney Springs locations, Paradiso 37 has implemented additional health and safety measures, including paper menus, gloves and masks for the servers, and increased sanitization.
Paradiso 37 is offering a limited menu for the time being, but our server confirmed that other fan-favorite menu items will return in the future! Despite the reduced options, they still had a solid selection of eats and drinks.
Though the restaurant is using paper napkins, we did receive regular silverware.
Now that we’ve gotten settled, let’s dive into the exciting part — FOOD! (And drinks, of course!)
Eats
Since Paradiso 37 is known for its drink selection, we had to start off with a cocktail! We opted for the Volcano Eruption ($14), which is made with coconut rum, banana liquor coconut cream, pineapple juice, and topped with a grenadine “eruption.”
And we were definitely happy with our selection! The drink was really sweet, refreshing, and pretty light.
We also opted for the Beef Empanadas appetizer ($16), which are artisan pastries filled with savory beef and served with a side of sour cream.
The empanadas were really good — although they admittedly weren’t the best we’d ever had. They weren’t at all spicy, which is good for those looking for a mild option. We thought they could have used more filling, but the crust was AMAZING! It had a great crunchy and buttery texture. Here’s a closer look at the inside of the empanada.
We even spotted a Hidden Mickey in the crust! Can you find it?? Here’s a hint — look towards the top-right!
From the entree list, we chose the Seared Salmon Fillet ($31), which came with cilantro rice, roasted vegetables, and grilled lemon.
Our server mentioned that this was one of her favorite things on the menu, and we can see why! We really enjoyed the flavor of the salmon, and it was cooked well. Here’s a peek at the cross-section of the salmon!
And the sides were delicious as well! The veggies get two big thumbs up from us, and the cilantro flavor in the rice was relatively understated.
And, of course, we had to cap off the meal with some dessert! We chose the Mini Ice Cream Cones ($13), which comes with four waffle cones with vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, and cookies n’ cream ice cream flavors.
The mini ice cream cones were good (and cute!), but they got really messy and they melted SUPER fast! So, unless you have a group to eat them with right away, you might end up with a bunch of melted ice cream.
Our server noticed our struggle with the melted ice cream, so she brought out a spoon wrapped in a napkin to help us out!
Nosh or Not?
Paradiso 37 may be right for you if:
- You’re looking for a restaurant with an expansive tequila selection.
- You want to order several small plates to share with your party.
- The weather is nice and you want to take advantage of outdoor seating.
- You’re looking for a place with a fun atmosphere.
You may want to skip Paradiso 37 if:
- You’re not a fan of Latin American cuisine.
- You’re looking for a menu with a ton a variety.
- Dessert is the most important part of your meal.
Overall
We had a couple of definite standouts at Paradiso 37! We really enjoyed the cocktail, empanadas, and salmon. And our server was on top of all of the new safety protocols. In fact, at the end of the meal, she sanitized the book, pen, and our credit card before returning it to us.
Overall, we’d say the food was good, the service was great, and the atmosphere was fun. But there are a to of incredible restaurants in Disney Springs and Paradiso 37, while good, just doesn’t hold up against most of them.
