But there are a few things you’ll need to know before you check ’em out tomorrow!

Sprinkles has officially announced that its Disney World-based bakery will be reopening tomorrow. They’ve also shared that their new store hours will be 10AM to 10PM daily — the same as Disney Springs!

Disney Springs’ Sprinkles will have a limited menu for the time being and all orders must be placed in advance. This means they won’t be accepting walk-in guests at this time.

5 SUPER Expensive Disney World Snacks That Are Totally Worth the Bread!

Hey, everybody! We’re feeling EXTRA fancy today which can only mean one thing!

It’s Mickey!

It’s time to fork over some money on our top five favorite high-dollar snacks at Disney World! Don’t worry — most of these pricier Disney World treats barely top out at ten bucks, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t still super-indulgent!

Be forewarned — if you’re on a Disney Dining Plan, NONE of these goodies will be an option for you to use your snack credits on (click here to see some that ARE!). Of course, you can still enjoy ALL of these extravagant treats — you’ll just have to pay for them out of pocket instead! Time to get rollin’!

Spring Rolls at the Spring Roll Cart in Adventureland

Our first stop is one of our most beloved places to visit at Magic Kingdom, especially earlier in the day! That’s when Adventureland’s Spring Roll Cart is still well-stocked and usually has the best selection of delicious spring rolls flavors before they begin to sell out!

Spring Roll Cart

Yes, sadly the secret is out about the Spring Roll Cart and once a flavor is gone, it typically isn’t replenished until the next day. But here’s the real kicker — you get two hefty-sized spring rolls for $7.50 — that means each spring rolls is $3.75 a piece!

Spring Roll Cart’s Menu

Oh, but it’s soooo mouth-wateringly worth it! With flavors like Pepperoni Pizza, Philly Cheesesteak, Rueben, Cuban, and Cheeseburger, you can enjoy a new spring roll flavor every time you swing by!

Pepperoni Pizza Spring Roll

If there’s one snack in Magic Kingdom worth shelling out your hard-earned dough for, this might be it! These little rolls of deliciousness have yet to disappoint us!!

Read our review of the Pepperoni Pizza Spring Roll here!

Colossal Pretzel at Pongu Pongu

Most of us have seen the Colossal Cinnamon Roll lurking in the jungle at Disney’s Animal Kingdom before, but did you know they also have a Colossal Pretzel?!? This park is absolutely WILD about its colossal-sized snacks!

Colossal Pretzel

Sadly, the Colossal Pretzel isn’t shaped like Mickey’s head like his brother the Colossal Cinnamon Roll but it IS almost the size of OUR head! Better yet, Pongu Pongu serves the Colossal Pretzel with a generous helping of creamy, rich Beer Cheese Sauce! There isn’t anything in our lives that isn’t enhanced with melty liquid BEER CHEESE!

Colossal Pretzel with Beer Cheese

Note that this guy isn’t available all day — if you swing by first thing in the morning while they’re still serving breakfast they may not be ready yet, so shoot to grab one around lunchtime or later. This thing is massively sharable (but you totes don’t have to!) and seriously one of the best pretzels we’ve ever had at Disney World. You’re looking at a total cost of $10.49 for this Bavarian-style bad boy!

Read more about the Colossal Pretzel at Pandora HERE!

California Cheese and Charcuterie Plate at BaseLine Tap House

We didn’t know what to think when this trendy, quasi-industrial lounge replaced our sweet little Writer’s Stop a few years ago (much to our relief the Carrot Cake Cookie was spared and is now available at Trolley Car Cafe!).

BaseLine Tap House

But in all honesty, BaseLine Tap House has become one of our new favorite hangouts at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! And judging by how there’s rarely a seat available on its huge outdoor patio these days, it appears a lot of folks feel the same way.

BaseLine Tap House

If you love a good cheese board, you’d be hard-pressed to find one better than BaseLine’s! Theirs includes Toma Farmstead Cheese, Point Reyes Original Blue Cheese, Laura Chenel’s Sonoma Goat Cheese, Chorizo and Calabrese Salami, Cornichons, Grapes, and Toasted Baguette, all for $10!

Charcuterie Board

We happen to think it pairs great with a beer flight for $12! You get to sample four Californian craft beers. Might as well as throw in one of their Bavarian Pretzels for $9, too (here we go again with the cheese sauce!?).

Beer Flight and Bavarian Pretzel

You can have yourself a cheese and bread feast at BaseLine — if you’ve got the DOUGH!

Read our full review of Baseline Tap House’s sips and eats HERE!

Empanadas de Barbacoa at Choza de Margarita

Now we’re heading over to Epcot’s World Showcase to enjoy some of Choza de Margarita’s delicious Empanadas de Barbacoa! These fried doughy delights are filled with shredded Barbacoa Beef and topped with Chipotle Sauce, Crema Mexicana, and Queso Fresco! It even comes with a side of Corn Esquites dusted with some chili-lime salt! YUMMY!

Empanada de Barbacoa

For $10.50, it’s more in the price range of an affordable meal at Disney World, but we don’t mind the upcharge when confronted with this much deliciousness! Just be careful — they go down REALLY fast! Especially if you’re enjoying them with one of Choza de Margarita’s signature cocktails such as the Smoky Pineapple for $15.50 made with Mezcal Ilegal Blanco, Pineapple-Ginger Juice, Ancho Reyes Chile Liqueur and a Tajin Chile-Lime Powdered Rim or their super-colorful Fiesta Marg for $12.75!

Fiesta Margarita

Learn more about the Fiesta Marg at Choza de Margarita here!

We’ve been known to get a little carried away and have to cough up another $10.50 for another round of Empanadas because we ate the first batch so quickly! Whoops!

Check out some of the other menu offerings to pair with the Empanadas at Choza de Margarita here!

Beef Brisket Poutine at Refreshment Port

Our last stop brings us to Refreshment Port which is also located in Epcot. Here is where you’ll find the Beef Brisket Poutine for $9.50!

Beef Brisket Poutine

What’s not to love about crispy golden-brown Fries covered in pulled brisket, smothered in a bath of Beer Cheese Sauce, and topped with Crispy Onions? Of course, if you’re a Poutine Purist, you can get the Traditional Poutine for $7.50 which comes with French Fries, Beef Gravy, and Cheese Curds!

Traditional Poutine

Occasionally, you’ll even find a new Poutine moonlighting at Refreshment Port like this Duck Confit Poutine they rolled out at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival last year. We sure hope it quacks its way back to this year’s fest!

Duck Confit Poutine

Of course, Disney World is home to several equally-stellar Poutines which you can read more about here! There’s no shortage of french fries covered with goodies in Disney World!

Read about the Duck Confit Poutine Refreshment Port recently had here!

Now that we got you thinking about some epic higher-end snacks, it’s time to start saving up! Lucky for you, most of these treats won’t break the bank TOO badly! ?

Review: Move Over Burgers — We’re Trying D-Luxe Burger’s Buffalo Fried Chicken in Disney World!

Disney Springs kicked off its phased reopening last week. While we originally saw third-party stores and restaurants open back up to guests, a few Disney-owned locations opened their doors again today.

D-Luxe Burger

We’ve already given you a look at what’s hoppin’ at the World of Disney and now we’re taking you with us to grab a burger, fries, and a shake at the reopened D-Luxe Burger!

D-Luxe Burger is a great place if you’re looking for a quick meal or snack. But, it’s also AWESOME because the restaurant rolls out unique burgers (Pizza Burger, we’re looking at you!) along with classic meals.

Waiting In Line

Before you walk into the restaurant, there are distancing markers on the ground to separate parties from each another.

D-Luxe Burger Markers

D-Luxe is currently accepting Mobile Order ONLY — unless you have an allergy — in which case you can order inside. After you tap the “I’m here” button in the My Disney Experience app, you wait outside behind physical distance markers. Once your order is ready, a Cast Member will direct you into the restaurant.

D-Luxe Mobile Order

While we were there, we encountered a small exception to the outdoor queue. Cast Members let us wait under the patio cover as it started pouring rain — but we still had to remain at least six feet apart from other guests.

D-Luxe Cast Member

When our order was ready, we headed in!

Picking Up Your Order

They gave us a station number were our food was waiting for us. Each station had napkins, utensils, and packaged condiments.

Food Pick-Up Station

For signature sauces, you can order them in the app or request them from a Cast Member but ONLY garlic ranch and curry ketchup were available during our visit. A Cast Member kindly brought out the extra sauce in a no-touch basket.

No=Touch Sauces

We noticed that if you order a bottled drink, it will be served alongside your food at the pickup station. But if you ordered a fountain beverage, Cast Members will assist you at the machines.

Drink Station

If you order booze or a shake, your bag will have a sticker that says that your order is unfinished.

D-Luxe Order

You’ll head to a separate counter to pick up your specialty beverage.

Seating

Similar to the rest of Disney Springs, Guests and Cast Members are both required to wear masks, but guests may remove their masks to eat or drink.

Limited Spaced Tables

The tables were separated at least six feet apart from one another, and there were some spots that were sectioned off for the time being.

Unavailable Table

The outdoor seating was increased to allow more guests to grab tables at a safe distance.

Outdoor Seating

Overall, the pickup procedure was streamlined and we could tell they aimed to reduce contact that could commonly occur at a traditional mobile-order pickup.

You can read more about the new logistics of Disney Springs here!

Eats

While we were there, we ordered the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich, the Plant-based Pacific Island Burger, some of those delish Fresh-cut Fries, and the Strawberry Gelato Shake.

D-Luxe Spread

The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was A+!!! It was a Fried Chicken Breast topped with Buffalo-Ranch Sauce, Blue Cheese Crumbles, Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato for $12.49.

Open Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

The chicken in this sandwich was fried to perfection and it was a really good-sized piece too! We loved the way that the flavors came together to give us that classic buffalo chicken profile. Our only complaint was we could’ve used a tad more buffalo sauce. Also, if you’re not a blue cheese fan, order it without! You can definitely taste the blue cheese!

Buffalo Chicken Sandwich

Next up is the Plant-based Pacific Island Burger. It was made from a Plant-based Patty with Cabbage and Mushroom Ragout, Mango Salsa, Lettuce, and Dill Pickles on Plant-based Parker House Roll with the same price of $12.49.

Plant-based Burger

We’re big meat-eaters so we thought this sammie was just fine. We probably wouldn’t get it again, but it might be a real hit with someone on a plant-based diet! After the beautiful harmony of the buffalo sauce and ranch, these flavors didn’t quite strike the same chord. Mushroom, mango, and pickles? We’re fans of each, but maybe not so much when they are stacked together.

Split Plant-based Burger

But we could rely on our old friend! The $4.99 Fresh-cut Fries were an absolute delight. Also, we are big fans of the signature sauces at D-Luxe. We love the curry ketchup and we would probably take a bath in the garlic ranch if we could.

Fresh-cut Fries

Finally, we had that super tempting Strawberry Gelato Shake, and yes, it was as good as it sounds. Think: Vanilla Gelato blended with Milk and Strawberry Sauce, topped with Whipped Cream, Strawberry drizzle, and Maraschino Cherry. Ugh, now we’re thinking about it again. Maybe we’ll go get another… .

Strawberry Gelato Shake

The consistency of this shake was super smooth and sippable. Plus, it felt like it was made with really high-quality ingredients and you can definitely taste the difference. Next time you’re at D-Luxe, give it a try for $7.50.

Nosh or Not?

Snag a bite at D-Luxe Burger if:

  • You want a classic AND quality meal of burgers and fries.
  • You’re tired of the plain old milkshakes and are looking for something a cut above.
  • You think you’ll love garlic ranch as much as we do.

Dine elsewhere if:

  • You’re looking for something on the lighter side.
  • You want to have a nice, slow, sit-down meal.
  • You want to swing for something more unique than a burger and fries.

Overall

We love a trip to D-Luxe Burger. The menu items are consistently good and we can rely on this spot for a hearty lunch on a Disney Springs day. Even better, D-Luxe had an IMPRESSIVE grasp on health measures so if that’s a concern for you, this spot might tick all your boxes. Still, if you’re looking for something a little more creative than burgers (and trust us, there are some creative options in Disney Springs), you may want to head elsewhere. Overall though, we’re still impressed with how D-Luxe is doing things on and off the menu and you can bet we’ll be back for more.

Mobile Order Has Changed at Walt Disney World Counter Service Restaurants — Find Out How Here!

Mobile Order is a service available to Walt Disney World guests through the My Disney Experience app. It allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Service restaurants around Disney World.

D-Luxe Burger

Upon arrival to the restaurant, guests using Mobile Order can bypass the ordering queue and go straight to a designated Pick Up Counter to get their food. And today, when we used Mobile Order for our visit to the newly reopened D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs, we noticed a new feature in the app.

Previously, when guests ordered a meal using Mobile Order in Walt Disney World, they would select their restaurant from the list of participating locations, then proceed to choose their food and beverage items.

Mobile Order Pickup Sign at D-Luxe Burger

Though a “Please Arrive Between” time was noted upon starting the order, it essentially allowed guests the chance to pick their food up at any time prior to the location’s closing time that day.

Today, however, we found that it was necessary to choose an Arrival Window designating a specific half hour time slot before moving into the item selection.

Select An Arrival Window Screenshot

Now, we should note that though this is the first time we’ve seen this particular part of the process utilized in Walt Disney World, Mobile Order in Disneyland has always required guests to select an Arrival Window before beginning to place their order for their chosen location, as seen in the example from Mobile Order’s Disneyland debut below.

Disneyland Mobile Order screenshot

Will this be the norm moving forward with Mobile Order in Walt Disney World? D-Luxe Burger is the only currently open location that offers Mobile Order, so it is a bit difficult to say with certainty. However, in light of the new safety measures currently being implemented in Disney Springs and proposed for the reopening of the rest of the Resort, this is more than likely part of the measures to limit capacity within individual restaurants in order to promote physical distancing.

Mobile Order Arrival Window selected for D-Luxe Burger

Other measures that Disney mentioned during its proposal with regards to dining include contactless menus and encouraged use of contactless payment. It was also noted that Mobile Order would be further enabled at food and beverage locations, so it’s possible that the list of locations that offer Mobile Order may be growing.

D-Luxe Burger Sneak Peek!

This isn’t the last you’ll hear from us at D-Luxe Burger in Disney Springs today! After all… we placed our order, so you may be wondering what we got to eat on our first trip back! We’ll be sharing our review (and the rest of our experience using Mobile Order) with you here soon, so we hope you’ll stay tuned!

FIRST LOOK: The NEW Disney World Signage You’ll See When The Parks Reopen

Earlier today, Disney World presented its reopening plan to Florida’s Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force.

Magic Kingdom

The proposed plan has been initially approved by Mayor Jerry Demings and has been sent to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. If given the go-ahead, select Disney World theme parks will begin to reopen to the public starting on July 11th, with the remaining parks set to open on July 13th.

During Disney World’s proposal, we saw a sneak peek of some of the new health and safety signage guests will see once the parks begin to reopen. Disney officials have stated education, communication, and engagement with its guests will be paramount in keeping everyone safe.

© Disney

Many of these new signs will be located at entry points as well as throughout the theme parks themselves, especially where crowds tend to gather. Most of the new signs offer friendly reminders, instructing guests to always wear their face mask and allow for six feet of space between themselves and other parties.

So far, these new signs look very similar to the ones we’ve already seen around Disney Springs and more recently at World of Disney today. Their colors are mostly muted beige, red, and dark green.

Protect the Magic Signs at World of Disney

In addition to emphasizing the mandatory use of face masks and best social distancing practices, other important health and safety procedures will be addressed such as temperature screenings. All Cast Members and guests will be required to have their temperature taken before entry, similar to what we’ve experienced at Disney Springs.

©Disney

Learn more about Disney Springs’ temperature checks here!

New signage installed near restrooms and hand sanitization stations will remind guests to wash their hands frequently as well as use touchless features such as Mobile Order when paying for food.

At restaurants, new signs will direct guests to which tables they’re allowed to sit at as well as if they’re permitted to move chairs around. In stores, limited handling of product signs will also be installed.

©Disney

These are just some of the new health and safety signs that are headed our way when the parks reopen. We’re sure there will be lots more to come, but for now, you can start familiarizing yourself with Disney World’s new health and safety procedures based on all the new signs we’ve seen so far!

Read MORE on Disney World’s reopening procedures here.
