Four Seasons and Disney Springs Resort Area Hotel Guests Will Have Access to the Park Reservation System on June 22nd!

While we’ve been busy becoming masters of Disney World’s new reservation system (check out our tutorial here!), we’ve also been trying to figure out who will have access to park reservations when it goes live on June 22nd.

A Sight For Sore Eyes!

So far, we’ve been able to confirm guests staying at Disney’s Swan and Dolphin Resort (which is owned by Marriott) will have the same access as guests staying at Disney-owned hotels.

And now theme park reporter Carly Weisel has also found out guests who will be staying at one of the seven Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels (which are privately-owned) will ALSO have the same access to park reservations as Disney World guests!

That  following properties are eligible:

If you have booked a room at one of these resorts AND you have valid theme park admission, you’ll be able to make your Disney World park reservation starting on June 22nd. Thanks to Carly Weisel, we also know guests staying at Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World will qualify as well.

Keep in mind, many of these properties shut down around the same time as Disney World resorts and some have remained closed. Here are the Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels that are still closed and have yet to release their official reopening dates at this time:

Make sure you check with your resort regarding your upcoming stay and if you have any questions, shoot them out to us in the comments below! We’re doing out best to keep up with all of these details regarding Disney World’s phased reopening, which are coming at us left and RIGHT! AMC Theatre in Disney Springs Reopening July 15

With the news of the Walt Disney World Resort making progress towards reopening, Disney fans are getting a feeling of some normalcy. The Disney Springs area was among in the first at the resort to begin a phased reopening. However, when Disney Springs reopened on May 27th, something was noticeably still closed. Not to worry, because we just got word that everyone’s favorite AMC Dine-In Theatre will be reopening very soon!

As the world gets used to a new kind of normal, AMC is also adapting to create a positive and safe experience for their guests to enjoy. AMC theatres have partnered with cleaning brand Clorox to ensure they have the best methods of keeping their space clean and sanitary. They have also implimented a new initiative that is named, AMC Safe & Clean. This initiative ensures that intense measures of cleanliness are being taken daily to ensure the health and safety of AMC staff and guests.

With implementing these new methods of health and safety, AMC in Disney Springs is ready to start showing plenty of new films and classic films we all know and love! They are more than excited to welcome their guests back just in time for the premier of Disney’s live action Mulan!

Also to help keep patrons safe, AMC will have capacity restrictions. This will be in order to keep up with social distancing efforts. Contactless ticketing methods will be encouraged. Mobile ordering for food and beverages at this dine-in location will be encouraged as well.

Starting July 15th, Disney Springs AMC Dine-In location will be in full operation with the aforementioned safety measures in place. By the end of July, AMC is expecting all of their locations to be reopened with the AMC Safe & Clean initiative. We can’t wait to head back and catch a movie with AMC!

This New Disney World Cookie Already Has Undergone a HUGE Change!

Earlier this week, we were truly shaken to our core when we found out The Polite Pig in Disney Springs was no longer selling the famous Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookie! THE HORROR!

This New Disney World Cookie Already Has Undergone a HUGE Change!

R.I.P. Gideon’s Cookies at The Polite Pig!

Of course, we later found out WHY, and also much to our relief, The Polite Pig began offering its own replacement: hence the Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookie was born!

But ever since the new cookie debuted at The Polite Pig, the results have been a mixed bag. Some people thought its over-the-top chocolate-chip-to-cookie-ratio was similar to a Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookie!

New Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookie at The Polite Pig

Even though the recipe is completely different from Gideon’s (it has BOURBON in it, people!) the cookies still looked pretty similar! The Polite Pig has since changed their recipe, and they’ve now swapped the chocolate chips for chocolate rock candies instead!

They’ve also, rather cleverly, changed the treat’s name to the Bourbon on the Rocks Cookie!

Bourbon on the Rocks Cookie

As you can see, it now looks VERY different from a Gideon’s Bakehouse Cookie. Taste-wise it’s exactly the same Bourbon Chocolate Chip Cookie we tried earlier this week — minus the chocolate chips, of course!

Bourbon on the Rocks Cookie

Our cookie was especially gooey and ate more like cookie dough. But it still had plenty of salt flakes sprinkled over the top to balance some of that sweetness. The Bourbon on the Rocks Cookie costs $5 and will be available all day long or until it sells out! We’ll be VERY interested in finding out what you guys think of them this time around!

Let us know if you’re looking forward to trying out the new Bourbon on the Rocks Cookie in the comments below!
