Guests Can Now MODIFY Disney World Reservations From Now to June 21st But There’s A BIG Catch

With the reopening of Disney World parks set for July 11th, a lot of folks with June reservations have been left in limbo.

Polynesian Resort Lobby

Shortly after the official announcement of a reopening date, Disney’s hotel reservations and ticket sales systems went dark so Disney could begin to implement their new reservation system. That meant no new reservations and no modifications to existing reservations. For many folks who just wanted to reschedule their June reservations, that was frustrating. Well, now Disney is allowing guests with check-in dates prior to June 21st to call and modify their reservations.

As of right now, anyone with existing reservations between now and June 21st can call Guest Services at (407) 934-7639 to modify their reservation. The ONLY locations that you can currently rebook for are Disney Vacation Club Deluxe Villas and Fort Wilderness Cabins.

Wherever your original reservation was, you can reschedule for one of these locations but you will need to pay the difference in price if you choose to do so. If you take no action to modify at this time, your reservations prior to June 22nd will be automatically canceled.

We know this is a big change, so if you have any questions please let us know and we will do our best to get those answers for you! We’ll be keeping a close eye on developments with the reservation system at Disney so keep up with DFB for all the latest updates.

Updated: NEWS! Disney World Guests’ FastPasses Are Disappearing in July — Even AFTER the Reopening Date

UPDATE: As of 3:20PM, our FastPasses reservations have returned to My Disney Experience. At this time we are still unable to make new FastPasses and we cannot currently modify our existing FastPasses.

Disney World proposed their reopening plan yesterday and since then they’ve been working out the details.

Magic Kingdom

Disney is set to introduce a new reservation system for their theme parks and right now, they are no longer accepting new reservations. Yesterday we even spotted that Advance Dining Reservations were unavailable. Well today, something a little surprising is happening for folks who had FastPasses scheduled for July.

Today, members of our team and some of our readers noticed that their FastPasses for July (starting on the 11th when the parks are planning to reopen) were gone!

Sever Dwarfs Mine Train

Strangely enough, with no notice from Disney, FastPasses started disappearing from guests’ plans. Our FastPasses were still there this morning, so Disney must have pulled them sometime late morning or early afternoon. We had FastPasses booked throughout July and now they are all gone.

Of course, we tried to make some new FastPasses to see if we’d be able to but we were met with an error screen. Update: It will currently allow us to get as far as picking the park and the date, but it then errors out.

Fastpass+ Error Screen

Our dining reservations are still available in our plans but it sure is weird that all of our FastPasses disappeared. We haven’t heard any statement from Disney on how the reopening will affect the FastPass system, so we are interested to learn more about Disney’s process. Perhaps this is a glitch and the FastPasses will return, but we’re not sure.

This is a developing situation so we’ll be sure to keep you updated as we learn more! As mentioned above, as of 3:20PM, our FastPasses reservations have returned to My Disney Experience. At this time we are still unable to make new FastPasses and we cannot currently modify our existing FastPasses.

NEWS: Disney World is Canceling MORE June Reservations

Disney World is currently accepting new bookings starting July 1st, but a reservation does not mean that your vacation is secured.

Spaceship Earth

Many guests have booked reservations for June, only to have them subject to cancelation. Just last week we reported that Disney World had begun canceling reservations in early June. Now, Disney is reaching out to notify guests that their later June reservations will be canceled as well.

Disney is currently sending out notification to guests with vacation days up to June 13th with information to modify or cancel their hotel reservations or travel packages. Now, one of our readers shared that their June 8th-13th vacation was canceled.

As a reminder, Disney is waiving any change or cancellation fees for guests affected by the closure. If you are affected by the new round of cancellations and do not take any action, Disney will automatically cancel and refund your hotel reservation.

Magic Kingdom

If you have any questions about the new round of cancelations or your booking, you can call (407) 934-7639 for Disney Customer Support. To cancel or change your reservation, you can do so online using My Disney Experience.
