Stop What You’re Doing and Look at These Right NOW!

We can’t believe 22 NBA teams will be traveling to Disney World to finish their 2019-2020 season. It’s really HAPPENING!

Stop What You’re Doing and Look at These Right NOW!

NBA Experience at Disney World

And to get Disney and sports fans extra-fired up out the 88 “seeding games” (you can view the full schedule here) ESPN has just shared some fun logos we think you’ll enjoy!

@pkairdesigns, an artist and self-proclaimed “sneakerhead” has decided to make a few new “Disney-fied” logos for the visiting NBA teams! ESPN scooped them up and added them to their Insta today including this adorable Utah Jazz logo featuring Pluto jammin’ on a saxophone!

The Denver Nuggets logo has also been doctored up — with DOC! We love how the artist also added the Seven Dwarfs to the side of the mountain! Does this mean the players might be singing “Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, it’s off to the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex we go?”

Tigger has become the adopted Disney mascot for the Pheonix Suns thanks to his rather sunny disposition!

Meanwhile, Mickey Mouse will be repping for the Boston Celtics. Looks like they really lucked out with landing the main MOUSE!

Mavs fans can rejoice over their new logo featuring Bullseye! We always thought the Dallas Mavericks were big fans of Buzz and Woody!

We bet Milwaukee Bucks player (and HUGE Disney dude) Robin Lopez will get a kick out of his team’s new Bambi logo.

It looks like another Toy Story character has been drafted. Toronto Raptors has a reimagined logo featuring Rex! Must be hard to dribble with such tiny arms!

The Portland Trail Blazers will be putting on their super suits soon. How awesome would it be if they actually added The Incredibles on their jerseys?! Pretty incredible if you ask us!

Winne the Pooh has lent his likeness to the Memphis Grizzlies! He looks more adorable than threatening!

And last but not least, Ariel will be flipping her fins as the Miami Heat’s mascot!

We gotta say, we thought the best thing we could hope to see when we found out the NBA would be playing the rest of its games at Disney World was Mickey Mouse wearing some sweatbands and a pair of basketball shorts — which, btw, we’re still hoping to see!

But we love seeing what this artist has come up with so far! Here’s hoping they have a few more Disney design ideas up their sleeve for the rest of the NBA team logos!

News and PHOTOS: Disney World’s Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf Course Is OPEN!

While we originally weren’t expecting any of Disney World’s miniature golf courses to reopen any time soon, Disney always likes to keep us on our toes!

News and PHOTOS: Disney World’s Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf Course Is OPEN!

Fantasia Gardens

Previously, they stated mini-golf would most-likely be unavailable to resort guests during Disney World’s phased reopening while Standard golf and FootGolf would remain open, but like so many things right now, it appears they changed their minds!

Although Winter Summerland at Blizzard Beach remains closed, Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf has recently reopened! Let’s check out the course to see what safety modifications they’ve made!

News and PHOTOS: Disney World’s Fantasia Gardens Mini Golf Course Is OPEN!

Temperature Screening Sign

First of all, you’ll need to have your temperature taken to make your way onto the fairway! Face masks must also be worn by all guests (ages two and up) for the entire duration of their stay.

Heath and Safety Guidelines Sign

If there’s a line at the temperature checkpoint, there’s some covered and uncovered seating along with water provided for guests. Benches have socially distanced while some seating areas may have “not available” markers if they’re closed off for guests.

Just like Disney Springs, AdventHealth workers are performing the temperature screenings using touchless thermometers.

There are two family-friendly 18-hole courses at Fantasia Gardens. The Gardens Course is open daily from 10AM to 10PM while the Fairway Course (the more-challenging course) opens a 10AM and closes an hour earlier at 9PM.

We were allowed to choose which course we wanted to play, and since it’d been a while since we putted (although we’ve been watching lots of Holey Moley), we went with the Gardens Course!

Health and Safety reminder signage was featured predominantly throughout the course played and we noticed most of the trash cans had their lids propped open.

Some of the holes had their own portable hand washing stations, too! They’re similar to the ones we’ve already seen at Disney World where you pump the water with your foot.

Of course, we had to take some time to appreciate all the scenic beauty Fantasia Gardens has to offer! It’s almost like stepping foot inside the movie at times!

It’s Yen Sid!

We love all the sculptures of hippos, alligators, and elephants! Not to mention each hole is just challenging-enough without making us wanna pull a Happy Gilmore.

Getting a hole-in-one at Fantasia Gardens is our agenda for the day, so you know where to find us now that mini-golf is back in play at Disney World!

Will you be putting around Fantasia Gardens on your next trip to Disney? Let us know in the comments below!

DVC Moonlight Magic events cancelled for 2020

DVC Moonlight Magic events cancelled for 2020 Moonlight Magic

The Walt Disney company released an update to let DVC members know that the rest of this year’s Moonlight Magic events will be canceled. Disney Vacation Members were notified months ago that the previous Moonlight Magic event nights would be delayed until this summer. The rescheduled dates were listed for the months of June through August, but now Disney confirms how we won’t see the DVC events return at all for 2020.

We have attended some of these Moonlight Magic events in the past and they were quite a blast! You can read the following description to see what was offered during these DVC events:

Enjoy an evening of enchantment, entertainment and more as a theme park becomes your playground.

During a Moonlight Magic event, Members can visit a select theme park for an after-hours celebration. While attendees may get a jump start on the fun by mixing in with the regular crowd earlier in the evening, the real magic happens after the park has closed to the public.

It’s then that privileged partiers can:

  • Enjoy shorter-than-usual wait times on popular attractions
  • Meet some Disney Characters
  • Savor complimentary refreshments
  • Let loose at high-energy dance parties

Hopefully we will return to see these event nights in 2021!

Here’s EVERYTHING You Need to Know About the Disney World Annual Passholder Previews!

Just moments ago, registration for Disney World’s Special Annual Passholder Preview Event went LIVE!

Here’s EVERYTHING You Need to Know About the Disney World Annual Passholder Previews!

Main Street, U.S.A.

And even though the event has already filled up, we’re back to share all the important details you’ll need to know if you’re going!

Previously, Disney World announced July 9th and July 10th as the dates of its Annual Passholder previews at Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom giving APs an opportunity to visit the parks BEFORE they reopened to the general public on July 11th and 15th.

Here’s EVERYTHING You Need to Know About the Disney World Annual Passholder Previews!

Passholder Entrance

Weekday Select, Theme Park Select, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Platinum Plus, and Premier Passholders were all eligible to register for the AP previews, and we learned a few new SUPER-important details when we snagged out spots today!

Here’s EVERYTHING You Need to Know About the Disney World Annual Passholder Previews!

Magic Kingdom

You Needed to Choose…

Annual Passholders could only register for ONE day (either July 9th or 10th) and ONE park (either Magic Kingdom or Disney’s Animal Kingdom) meaning you COULDN’T attend both previews. Registration was fairly simple. Guests selected the day and park they would like to attend the preview for, attached guests, and then confirmed. Keep in mind, you couldn’t make modifications after registering.

Here’s EVERYTHING You Need to Know About the Disney World Annual Passholder Previews!

Entrance to Disney’s Animal Kingdom

Spots Were Limited

Even though reservations to attend the Special Annual Passholder Preview Event are required, spots were limited, and available on a first-come, first-served basis. You needed to have an activated annual pass for AP preview registration and if you wished to bring a guest, they also needed to have an active annual pass.

Note: once you added a guest to your reservation, the system would not allow them to register themselves for the Annual Passholder preview.

What You’ll Need to Bring

If you were able to snag a spot to one of the Annual Passholder preview, do note that each person must bring their Annual Pass and a government-issued photo ID with them. You’ll also need to bring a copy of your confirmation page.

Passholders should expect to receive additional emails from Disney for their reservation 3 to 5 days prior to the event and if guests are planning on staying at a Disney Resort hotel, regular Disney transportation will not be available. Guests will need to provide their own transportation to and from the theme parks.

Here’s EVERYTHING You Need to Know About the Disney World Annual Passholder Previews!

Disney World’s Bus System Will Not Be Fully Operational During AP Previews

Keep in mind, you will need to bring your own face covering which must be worn by everyone (ages 2 and up) at all times, except when dining or swimming.

And while Disney World has released some details about which restaurants, shops, and attractions will be open starting July 11th, some experiences may be limited or modified during the Annual Passholder previews.

Did you register to attend one of the Special Annual Passholder Preview Events? Let us know which park you’ll be heading to in the comments below!
