Disney World multi-day tickets extended through 2021

Disney World multi-day ticket

A recent update on the Disney website shows that Disney World multi-day tickets have been extended through September 26th, 2021!

Here is what the website reads now.

Partially used multi-day theme park tickets with usage window impacted by park closure, or date-specific theme park tickets purchased through June 6th, 2020 with a valid use period beginning March 12, 2020 or later, will automatically be extended to use any date through September 26th, 2021. If you are unable to visit by September 26th, 2021, you may apply the value of a wholly unused ticket toward the purchase of a ticket for a future date.

To provide additional flexibility, we are waiving Disney-imposed change and cancellation fees up to the date of check-in for reservations with arrivals through the closure period. As a reminder, most reservations can be cancelled online. If Guests need further assistance, they can reach us at the Disney Reservation Center through our online chat feature or by calling our reservation line.

It feels like there are almost daily updates for the reopening to Walt Disney World.

Own a piece of history – Epcot Illuminations Float for sale

IllumiNations

How big of a Walt Disney World fan are you? Would you go as far as to bring home a part of Disney history from Epcot? An online auction held by Ritchie Bros Auctioneers recently featured barges from Epcot’s former nighttime spectacular show “IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth.” The barges were once used nightly for pyrotechnics and fireworks while water fountains and lasers helped entertain audiences.

IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth is a show beloved by Disney Park enthusiasts. The show ended its 20-year run with its final performance on September 30, 2019. While the nighttime spectacular may be over, it will always be revered as a great part of Epcot history.

The barges being auctioned are classified as “12×12 Pontoon Marine Equipment.” These barges were brought into World Showcase Lagoon to assist in the pyrotechnic displays across the water. These smaller barges would surround the firework launching sites. It’s incredible to realize how these simple water crafts were once capable of dazzling entertainment displays at Epcot!

If someone has a purpose for the pontoon marine equipment, or if you want to own an obscure part of Epcot history, then check out the auction on the barge!
