Disneyland sends out survey over masks and temp checks

disneyland

The Orange County Register is reporting that Disneyland is sending annual passholders a survey about protective face masks, temperature checks at park entrances, and pre-arrival health questionnaires.

This survey asks for feedback on how likely passholders would be to visit the Disneyland Resort if certain health and safety measures were implemented. One series of questions focused on three potential reopening options with regards to masks, temperature checks, and health questionnaires.

In all three scenarios, operational changes at the parks included: Reduced attendance, social distancing, enhanced cleaning protocols and COVID-19 employee training.

Option 1 presented a scenario in which visitors were encouraged but not required to wear face masks. Option 2 required masks for visitors ages 3 years and over as well as temperature screenings before entering the park. Option 3 was identical to the second option, except the mask age was boosted to 10 years and over.

All three options included pre-arrival COVID-19 health questionnaires for visitors.

The Disneyland Resort remains closed and there’s no update on when they might submit reopening plans. California theme parks can reopen during California’s stage 3 of reopening and the governor says that could be as early as this month.

Overall, the Gold Rush Caramel Sundae is a fantastic new menu item at the Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop. The vanilla ice cream at Ghirardelli is always great quality, plus the caramel sauce is decadent and pairs well with the toppings. Despite being a chocolate-lover, I enjoyed the caramel and vanilla flavors. The white chocolate caramel square adds to the sundae with its rich and creamy flavor. This is definitely a refreshing dessert I would recommend for anyone looking to escape the summer heat!

The Fools Gold Caramel Sundae costs $13.75 plus tax. The ice cream sundae is big enough to share, but you might just eat the whole thing once you taste it! Next time you visit Ghirardelli at Disney Springs, consider trying this sweet treat. We’re sure you’ll love it as much as we did!

Disney Springs Updates Operating Hours

Disney Springs

Disney Springs in Walt Disney World has just adjusted its operating hours until further notice.

To comply with Orange County’s 10 p.m. curfew, effective today, Sunday, May 31 and until further notice, we are closing Disney Springs at 7 p.m., allowing cast members, operating participant employees and guests time to return home.

The change in operating hours was posted on the Disney Springs Home Page.

As we continue our phased reopening of Disney Springs with a number of shopping and dining locations, we are eager to welcome back our Guests, some Cast Members and third-party Operating Participants with safety and well-being of all at the forefront of all our planning efforts.

As we navigate through this unprecedented time as responsibly as we can, we have implemented a number of new safety measures based on guidance from health authorities, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and appropriate government agencies. We, along with third-party Operating Participants, are all committed to a responsible reopening of Disney Springs.

For Cast Members, Operating Participant employees and Guests, there are 6 key things to know before arriving at Disney Springs, and they include:

  • Limited parking and reduced entrances
  • Temperature screenings prior to entry
  • Face coverings required for Guests ages 2 and up
  • Physical distancing practices including physically-distanced queues and physical barriers
  • Temporary operation modifications, including reduced hours at select locations and no scheduled entertainment offerings or high-touch interactive areas
  • An increased focus on disinfecting and sanitation, including the addition of hand-washing stations and hand sanitizers in key areas

Since many of these measures will be new, and may evolve, we want to be sure Guests, Cast Members and Operating Participant employees are aware of all these changes.
