Sunrise Views from Cars Land in Disney California Adventure Park

To offer a moment of peace and Zen, we’re sharing more #DisneyMagicMoments with everyone at home. Today, we are revisiting (and rewinding) a story from our “Disneyland Resort at Dawn” video series on the Disney Parks Blog! This series takes you to the wee hours of the morning when the parks are just waking up.

In the video below, watch the sunrise over Cars Land in Disney California Adventure park. Soak up the towering Cadillac Range mountains, the undisturbed sounds of Route 66 and natural beauty of the Ornament Valley.

Have you ever noticed the 6 mountain peaks look like tail fins of classic Cadillac models from 1957 to 1962? The mountains are inspired by the iconic Cadillac Ranch public art installation along Route 66 near Amarillo, Texas.

#DisneyMagicMoments: Runners who Inspire Us – Part 3

Heather Yang

Here is another #DisneyMagicMoment from the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend a few months ago, Heather Yang’s incredible story of hope and perseverance …

In 2018, Heather Yang was training to run her first half marathon when she was blindsided by a stage 3 colon cancer diagnosis. The disease derailed Yang’s training and led to five months of chemotherapy, but as a United States Army veteran and a first responder during the Sept. 11 tragedy, she knew she had the strength and determination to fight for her life.

In March 2019, Yang completed chemotherapy and began a new journey as a cancer survivor, which included getting back to one of the things she loves most –running. In January 2020, that love of running and eight months of training led to her fulfilling a dream when she completed the Walt Disney World Half Marathon.

Star Wars Fan Syncs X-Wing Footage to ‘Danger Zone’ from Top Gun

Star Wars Fan Syncs X-Wing Footage to ‘Danger Zone’ from Top Gun. Massive Star Wars fan Jackson McKay has made the ultimate compilation of X-Wing footage from Star Wars: Episodes IV-IX and Rogue One and synced the video to Danger Zone, the iconic Kenny Loggins song from Top Gun.

Jackson shared, “I waited to make this until I could use [The Rise Of Skywalker] footage. X-Wings are my favorite starfighters, so it seemed like a fun project to keep me occupied while we’re all social distancing. Hope you enjoy!”

You can check out the full video below:

The pairing only seems natural given the nature of the song and the parallel to the use of X-Wings in the Star Wars franchise and the fighter jets used in Top Gun. We loved this creative compilation. Thanks, Jackson!

We’ve all been finding creative ways to celebrate moments at home — including birthdays! For anyone with a birthday (or even perhaps an “un-birthday”) coming up, Disney Parks has a special #DisneyMagicMoments to help you celebrate!

The Dapper Dans are here to help you sing “Happy Birthday” in the video below. This talented troupe from Disneyland park brought their voices together from their homes a few weeks back. It’s quite simple — they’ll sing the song, while you sing along and add the name of who you’re celebrating!
