We’ve been walking around all day today at the Magic Kingdom during Annual Passholder previews checking out wait times, spotting social distancing measures, and of course, riding some rides!
And while there are plenty of rides and attractions officially open at The Most Magical Place on Earth, one of our FAVORITE rides was sadly down!
While strolling through Tomorrowland and saying hi to Stitch, we noticed that the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover remained closed today!
Though we spotted social distancing markers for a queue on the ground, a sign in front of the ride stated that “The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover is not operating at this time. Please visit other Tomorrowland attractions.”
We were surprised to see the PeopleMover shut down since it WAS on the list of attractions expected to open with the Magic Kingdom. However, if you remember before the theme parks closed a few months back, the PeopleMover was unexpectedly closed for several days in mid-March.
Whether or not the PeopleMover will reopen when the parks officially open their doors on July 11th is yet to be seen. It should be noted that today was an Annual Passholder preview, and anything could change in the coming days. But if the PeopleMover is still closed (or if it FINALLY reopens), you know we’ll fill you in!
Follow along with us LIVE from the Magic Kingdom here.
